So what's more pathetic: -- how much McMarvel zombies want the MCU to win an Oscar even though they're meaningless -- how Disney tried to invent an entire category just so its middling cringe trash can be given a fake Oscar that's even MORE meaningless than a real one (see above) I say: the second one!!!1 Nobody actually cares if any movie in the MCU wins an Oscar. It doesn't make watching the movies better if it did. It's only you guys that care if does or doesn't win. Like it would hurt your feelings.
Disney didn't want that category. It was the Academy that made that up to get more viewership because they thought it they should get something for movies people watched. Why do you think it disappeared as soon as it was brought up?
Who are "us guys"? Sounds like the shrill cry of the dejected, tribalist fanboy to me!!!1 This has been extensively disproven by the fine and tireless work of DC-Fan, who has exposed Disney's fraudulent and pathetic attempts to garner an Oscar for BP in multiple threads. You can do a little work and look them up, but this argument has been settled.

Both I guess. Also I remember that when Justice League came out some of the critics were saying that the movie was an improvement over previous DCEU efforts in that it was lighter in tone and had some comedy, to which a lot of people responded "OH, so its like a Marvel movie then!" As if to take credit for it because its more Marvel-ized.
The same has been said about the Batman character- that he's the one DC character thats like a Marvel character. Again as if to take credit by insinuating that it's like Marvel. Whenever something does poorly its because DC sucks. But when it does well its because "well its like Marvel!"
And yet, those same MCU fans who always try to claim that Wonder Woman is like an MCU movie still refuse to admit that most MCU movies are like Superman: The Movie. Even MCU Dictator Kevin Feige has admitted that MCU copies most of their movies from Superman: The Movie. So what I've said may times before is true. Without Superman: The Movie, there would be no Avengers movies and no MCU. Nah, I think most claim it is similar to a specific MCU movie...First Avenger

Actually there would be Avengers movies and there would be an MCU. Just because they took inspiration from it doesn't mean they had to. It's similar to how, after Elektra in 2005, there wasn't another female-led superhero movie for over a decade because no one thought there would be enough of an audience for a female-led superhero movie so no studio, including MCU for 10 years, was willing to spend money to make a female-led superhero movie, until Wonder Woman showed that female-led superhero movies can be successful. And now, there are more female-led superhero movies that have been announced or being planned. Yes well done DC for taking nearly 30 years to put the most famous female comic book character ever, in fact one of the most famous regardless of gender, onto the big screen.

You know, a film you don't have to embarrassed for watching it.

Have things been so quiet on the Star Wars boards that certain prequel fans have got nothing better to do than spend their time slagging of MCU films

Same. Anyone who eats there more than once is an idiot or a masochist.

Evidently you've never eaten Chipotle. That's why it's hilarious when it happens to other people. And I've only eaten there once. Chipotle is authentic Mexican food. You can’t have authentic Mexican food without a variety of foodborne pathogens. What, you don’t like sitting in the bathroom, resembling the space shuttle launching?

most MCU movies are like Superman: The Movie. If only Kevin Feige had been in charge of the original Superman series. We’d have got a true superhero Renaissance back in the ‘70s & ‘80s, instead of a one hit wonder followed by some of the worse superhero drek to ever grace the big screen MCU Dictator Kevin Feige is responsible for some of the worst superhero drek to ever grace the big screen, such as: Black Panther Civil War GotG1 and GotG2 Spider-Man Homecoming Thor Dark World and plenty others

No, without Superman: The Movie, the Avengers movies would all be just low-budget movies like the 3 Punisher movies and there would be no MCU. That's how it was before 1978. Prior to Superman: The Movie, superhero movies were just low-budget serial movies because no one thought a big-budget superhero movie could be successful so no movie studio was willing to spend a lot of money to make a big-budget superhero movie. And similarly, Superman: The Movie showed that a big-budget superhero movie could be successful and basically created the genre of big-budget superhero movies. So without Superman: The Movie, there would be no MCU. There are plenty of movies that the MCU could take inspiration from.
Except we know for a fact (since MCU Dictator Kevin Feige has admitted it) that MCU didn't take inspiration from The Matrix or other movies and copied most of their movies from Superman: The Movie. So I'm 100% correct - without Superman: The Movie, there would be no Avengers movies and no MCU. Wonder Woman had Chris Pine to lead the movie. WB/DC wasn't gonna let Gal Gadot lead that movie. Is that why WB/DC put Gal Gadot and not Chris Pine on all the movie posters? Thanks for once again proving that MCU fans are really idiots.

So I'm 100% correct - without Superman: The Movie, there would be no Avengers movies and no MCU. Wow you are bullheaded. He said they took inspiration from Superman '78. Meaning the tone of the MCU. He's not talking about copying the movie. And when I mentioned The Matrix, I was saying that if there was no Superman '78 then there are plenty of movies they could have taken inspiration from. Hell, you even only quoted that sentence. You are 0% correct. Taking what someone says and twisting it to your viewpoint is not you being correct. You think taking 4 movies out of existence would make it that another movie doesn't exist? The MCU would just be different. It could be exactly the same without Superman '78.
