Doghouse6 I'm just so darn glad to see you that a Thwap would be inappropriate … puns or no puns. I'm glad to be seen, especially when I haven't made the "seen" much lately. Y'know, when you've got something like dyslexia that occurs between your brain and fingers while trying to type, these armanags can be difficult!

Could you spell it out for some of us? Hump Day - Wednesday is in the middle of the common Western five-day workweek that starts on Monday and finishes on Friday.
As such, once you get past it, you're "over the hump" and on the downward run into the weekend.
True. Unless you're like me and work every weekend and have off on the hump day.

Just as the weekend remains the weekend no matter what.
My parents were both shift workers, so at some point or other during the course of their working lives, they worked earlies, afternoons or nights on every day of the week.

I have no idea? Why not tell us instead of posting random pictures of camels? Humpdayyouidiot! Why are you being rude? And I figured it was "hump day" whatever that is as I have heard that term before but didn't know what it was and don't care to.

cause the term has been around since the 90's. "The term “hump day” began in 1965 when, allegedly, Roy Mann coined the phrase while standing around the water cooler at a Dupont plant. Then, in 1975, JJ Cale wrote a song called, “Friday” where the lyrics “Wednesday’s hump day, hump day’s Wednesday/Over the hump, the week’s half-gone/If I had my pay on Wednesday I’d hang out, the hump day’s gone.' " kellylynnereimer.wordpress.com/2015/05/06/the-history-of-hump-day/comment-page-1/now wonder if "teacher" Ms Deem " would like being called an "idiot" for not knowing that and for not getting her "facts" straight?

The only thing that's relevant is when an individual first gets to hear of it.
Why would you assume every other person must be aware of the same terms and phrases that you are?

Then that's even better. I didn't hear it from the 60's but I did hear it starting in the 90s.

Cause I also assume that since everyone here has access to the internet they also have access to Google.

"Ms Deem" ,who claims to be a "teacher of young children", calls people "idiots" for not knowing something that she knows.

ant-mac "Ms Deem" seems to be unfamiliar with the expression "assume makes an ass out of u and me " Yes, I had briefly considered pursuing that line of reasoning, but thought it best to abstain from it, at least for the time being.

"Ms Deem" ,who claims to be a "teacher of young children", calls people "idiots" for not knowing something that she knows. 1. Well, following on from her own logic, I have to ask does this mean she considers herself an idiot for not knowing when the term was first coined?
2. If true, this could be of concern to the parents of the "young children" who are supposedly her students.
