The movie's so bad they had to mention it twice.

No suprise, outside a certain Keanu Reeves movie franchise, pretty much all their major Hollywood releases have bombed. I predict some sort of Matrix sequel/prequel/spinoff will be in the works, that seems to be the only thing that makes them money.

Remember when they were rumored to be directing Justice League? Imagine how that would had panned out.

The movie's so bad they had to mention it twice. Hated the story but loved the action scenes and the score.

My thing is their bombs had better style and direction then the standard tentpole stuff. None of their movies was as bad as most of the stuff going on in the DC Universe now. While, as a moviegoer, it doesn't concern me too much whether a film is financially successful or not as long as I like it, it stinks when those filmmakers I do like are no longer given the option of making more movies.

Now that I think about it, a Matrix prequel could actually be descent, just make it about Morpheus when he was younger and finding out about the Matrix (no Fishborne, too old)

A bunch of trenchoacts and bullet time I'd imagine Sounds like Batman v Superman. Zack Snyder actually does seem to borrow their style quite a bit
