TH, ST, ND or RD? 20th century, 21st century, 22nd century OR 23rd century for examples.

Ones that contain one hundred years. Yeah, those leap centuries are really annoying.

I'm always having to stop to recalibrate the flight systems to correct my space-time coordinates.

Technically, it still contained one hundred years. It just happened that one of those years was slightly shorter.
It also hid a temporal anomaly in the form of The Eleven Day Empire.
The Faction Paradox novels will explain everything you need to know about it.

So a whole bunch of people didn't get their birthdays that year? I'm sure alternative arrangements were made.
Or if they were really lucky, perhaps they just didn't age that year.

Well, that's excellent information that I am ashamed to admit I never had. Thanks a ton, homergreg for bringing an important fact that increased my understanding and knowledge. That said on my own I have previously given thought to possible minor differences of time that may accumulate over time. But I never researched about it.
