I'd love to see a new version of Bambi that was more faithful to the original book--a political allegory that ultimately caused author Felix Salten to live in exile while copies of the book were burned by Nazi Germany, rather than just a cute animal story. I don't think Disney is the right studio to do justice to such a concept.

I been watching many of Disney's animated classics for most of my life & most of them more than once.

I Love Them.

I don't want to watch some other version... and I have no plans to ever see them.

Why should I?

Are these remakes being done to get the next generation to fall in love with the remakes, and never see the original ones? We already know that some of the current generation feel that way... and it's tragic.

There's way too much negative response to remakes ... as if people are being strapped into chairs and being forced to watch them. If it isn't your cup of tea Don't Watch Them and you haven't been harmed in any way.

Since the beginning of films ... some of the greatest films of all-time are remakes ... and some of the most crappy films are remakes. Judge each film on its own merits.

The 1991 version of Beauty and the Beast is the MOST loved by everyone ... But how could that be?

EVERYONE should ONLY watch and love the 1946 version or the 1957 version, or the 1962 version, or the 1976 version, or the 1978 version, or the 1981 version, or the 1987 version. Everything ... including the 1991 version is garbage that shouldn't have been made. Well that's far from true.

Open minded people can love the 1991 version ... or the 2017 version ... or the 2150 version.

Plus the remakes have been great and technology has gotten to the point that it has surpassed the animation.

Will Lion King count as a live-action movie? I'm not sure how they'd incorporate humans into the story.

Most of them have been pretty good so far.
The classics will remain classics, but I do wish they'd space them out just a little more. Definitely comes across as a shameless money making ploy.

I'm not going to bother with any of them. I don't have a vendetta against remakes, but I don't care for scene-by-scene live action remakes of amazing animated movies which are being made only for money. That's like someone tracing over the Mona Lisa, coloring it in crayons and then everybody can't stop praising how great it is.

I love the classic animated Disney movies, not because they are original (many are not and are in fact remakes), but because they did try to bring something really new to the table. They put a good spin on some characters and stories. But above all, it is the beautiful animation that really captures me. There are some things that the master Disney animators have captured in the emotions of some of the characters that live action or CGI can never replicate.

I am already very happy with the classic beautiful Disney animated movies and I am going to stick with them. I'll watch them over and over, as I have done over the years. I'm not going to waste my time watching the live-action remakes. If people enjoy them, that's fine with me.
