nice - this game is a series changer
saw a stat that a team up 2-0 in a series wins 84 % of the time
this is a giant boost for the blue

It is proper that Dodgers win. We still have a series.

No matter what kind of crazy stuff that can happen in a baseball game, you're only as good as your next day's starting pitcher. So I don't feel so bad here.
Of course, our scheduled starter for tomorrow's game just threw about 130 pitches in 7 innings of work....so there's that.....

On a real funny note, I think I went from new member here to full member just in this thread. Seriously, I gained 2 stars here. 😁

MAN, THIS GAME WAS AN ORDEAL!!! I grew up a Dodgers fan and I couldn't watch it - - not because of it being too suspenseful but because it was so ponderous. On Sunday you could watch the whole London game, the whole 1 pm game, and half of the 4 pm game in the time it took to play that baseball game. Your favorite NFL team's regular season would be 1/8ths over in the time it took to finish that game. Eighteen hits in eighteen innings.

So I'm going on a limb and saying that Nathan Eovaldi won't be starting tomorrow's game....call it a hunch. How you East Coasters doing? Screaming trees is still with us, but I think the GoodMan has passed out. And where has nuts been for the last 5 hours? TheGoodMan fell asleep on the couch after the 14th. TheGoodWoman isn't happy with me today.

I'm wondering how big of a turning point this game will be? Dodgers still have their Game 4 starter (I guess, it's still listed as TBA) while the Sox either have to go with a winded Sale on short rest or Ed Rodriguez, who wasn't planning on a start. No matter, it will be another game where all Sox pitchers are used. Barring a Sale miracle, so will Game 5. Momentum favors the LA boys but that can evaporate in one inning.

Well, they could go with Pomeraz. Maybe that's why you don't pull your starting pitcher after 61 pitches. Reap what you sow, Cora.

I've seen so many times teams use all their pitchers or empty their benches in close playoff games and have always expected it to backfire deep in extra innings. Never really did until now.

To do it at the first of three consecutive games is short sighted. Porcello only gave up one run in those 4+ innings - - no reason to take him out there.

Gotta give them credit, they were there all 18 innings cheering away. Mary Hart was even making fun of the way Craig Kimbrel stands before he pitches!

Nearly every move Cora has made this season has worked. Pinch hitting Nunez for Devers in Game One is just one example. Can't really fault him.

fascinating. this is clearly a situation where both teams need Gabe Kapler's input on whether to pitch the situational shortstop or the new Triple A kid called up to play 3rd Base in his first game in the bigs............. Gabe contemplating to bat the pitcher first in the line up and then yank him in the 2nd inning:
