The porgs feel more out of place in the movie they are in.

The porgs feel more out of place in the movie they are in. I feel like the gophers were more out of place in their movie. Then again, both were pointless and were just there to be cute. Still, I prefer the porgs.

Indy 4 is a ridiculous movie all around, but The Last Jedi is serious and "dark" half of the time. The porgs are used during scenes that should be dramatic and intense, but they show up and ruin scenes. The one that befriends Chewy is particularly distracting. The gophers are a used as a gag in Indy 4. They aren't a particularly effective gag, but they serve their purpose better than the porgs imo.

I just think the CGI gophers were a bigger problem in that particular film than the porgs are in TLJ. I guess it’s just I prefer Indiana Jones as a franchise over SW, and I’m not the biggest SW hound that doesn’t pay much attention to the details.

I didn’t even really give a sh!t about the franchise at all, but after seeing them at the beginning of this year, I changed that retrospect.

Do you mean you use to be indifferent to the Indiana Jones franchise until a re-watch earlier this year?

No, I just didn’t care that much to see them as they were of my disinterest at the time.Interesting. What made you decide to watch them? I was watching Temple of Doom, and that automatically peaked my interest.
