Where do shooters get their ideas from? Yep it's all because of how they covered that movie theater shooting. If they didn't make that guy so famous so many lives especially kids would be saved right now the blood is on the media's hands

Uh no, not really. That's what the NRA and the like want the ignorant people think. To blame the movies and videogames so they can keep on making money selling guns.
Society as a whole is what is responsible for the thought of someone wanting to actually commit a mass shooting. But America is responsible for the ability to access guns easily in order to put their thoughts into action. Those 2 things together are why mass shootings happen.
Other people who have done it. Or just the knowledge of guns and knowing that they can be used to kill people easily. Pretty simple as that.

Yeah, true — no one had ever thought of shooting multiple people within the same vicinity before the idea was broadcast to the general public.

I am sure broadcasting all of that mass shooting stuff is not helping matters but it's just the way the world is (as it's not like the media will stop reporting this stuff) as you have occasional psycho's and there ain't much you can do about it. even if there is, it's going to take quite a bit of time to redirect society back in the right direction and I think a good place to start is stop removing God from the general public like many on the left try to do.
plus, with the current political climate... that's setting off some mentally unstable people.
hell, it seems like you have some type of mass shooting once every 3-6 months or so here in the USA (or roughly 2-4 mass shootings per year) and it's been like this for a while now.
p.s. I would not be surprised that as the USA becomes less and less Christian (i.e. basically more godless), you will see a uptick in random shootings etc. basically as society breaks down, which happens as the nation gets less Christian as the decades pass, chaos takes the place of order.

Where do shooters get their ideas from? They either have mental problems. Or they have --- or had --- a bad upbringing which didn't teach right and wrong. No substitute for a good family.

Perhaps we should be asking
Where do shooters get their guns from?

This is a real snake eating its tail thing. As a counter to your "argument," I would say that if there weren't any shootings happening, the media wouldn't be reporting on them.
Besides, it's not like CNN is making it easier for the mentally unstable to arm themselves.
But I get it. You just wanted to dump an ideological one-liner. Throw a grenade and walk away. You probably don't have much else to offer.

Well, you could try to keep guns out of their hands. It's funny, here in the UK we are a far more godless society than the US is, with far more godless people. And we have our share of psychos and lunatics and whatnot. But we don't have mass shootings. We haven't had a mass shooting in several decades. You know what happened after the last one? We didn't become a more godly society. We instituted much stricter gun laws. And lo, the mass shootings stopped. Hell, even our terrorists usually use knives and run cars into people. So much easier than getting hold of a gun. Which is why the US will always have mass shootings, forever and ever. It's nothing to do with godliness. The US has, as a society, decided that mass shootings, including the mass shooting of children, is an acceptable price to pay for widespread gun ownership.

Okay maybe you are correct. First of all, I am surprised. I didn't think it was that high. Secondly, the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. If Americans would be more responsible, mass shooters would not be as successful. But we need more gun control; Mandatory license for gun owners and operators. Just like cars. Mandatory serial numbers and title transfers for guns. Just like cars. Mandatory safety training for gun owners and operators. Renewed every 5 years. There is no point in owning a gun if you don't know how to use it safely. Otherwise you are more of a danger to yourself and other good people, than you are to bad guys.

You are safer being a responsible, competent, able gun owner and operator. Than just being vulnerable to crime.
