It (2017) was so masterfully done, and to think I originally scoffed at the notion of a remake!

Well, to address your first point, around 50 of Stephen King's novels/short stories have been made into film, and to have included all these would have made it a ridiculously long poll. To address your second point, I don't know for sure which Stephen King books ARE "more beloved" than CUJO (not that I thought this book was a fan favorite in particular). I thought 13 titles was sufficient for a poll like this. And I don't even know most of the books that have been made into movies. I was not about to spend 45 minutes coming up with this poll. And, besides, there only three on this list of 13 that I really like a lot. (Carrie, The Dead Zone, and Dolores Claiborne). I didn't like "Firestarter" and I didn't like "It" and I thought "Pet Semetary" was terrible. I haven't even seen "The Stand", but I included it on the poll because I've read that some people think it's his masterpiece. Besides any of that, why wouldn't the person who created such a poll NOT included titles that he or she loved? I have never read a Danielle Steele book in my life (and probably never will), so really it would make no sense for me to create a poll "what is your favorite DS book that has been made into a movie" and then go ahead and include a bunch of titles that I found on some random list. In basic terms, I made the list for fun. If my list actually OFFENDED you, then why don't YOU go make your own list with whatever titles you think should be included and then you can feel satisfied? I already have made a poll asking this exact question last year and included ALL of the movies that have been adapted from his books/short stories. It really isn't hard to Google "list of Stephen King movies." Why didn't you list an OTHER option? You haven't offended me, I just hate polls that appear biased. The most glaring omissions are The Shawashank Redemption and The Green Mile. Creepshow isn't even adapted from a Stephen King book. Well, you have one up on me, then. I guess to be polite and fair I should have listed "other" as an option, but when I did that with another poll I created (favorite movie genre, maybe? can't remember), a third of the people picked "other" and then they didn't go on to mention what exactly their "other" pick referred to and that was just a little annoying. (Also, it was the reason why I excluded "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" from my poll "best performance of Elizabeth Taylor" because I knew that everybody would have picked that movie, and then the cause was defeated. Maybe I should have said "what is your second favorite performance by ET?" I think somebody suggested this, actually.) Though, I did look up "creepshow" and the source said it was based on the writings of Stephen King.

Creepshow is an original screenplay written by Stephen King. After the movie there was some comic books based on it. My favorite performance from Elizabeth Taylor is Suddenly, Last Summer btw. I am curious as to why The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile aren't in the poll, when they are often considered among his best movies. It was just odd to me that you left off some of his more popular films, but listed Cujo. I couln't think of any other reason these weren't included besides you just hating them or something. It made me think of Darksidebeedle's "Best Fantasy Films" poll, where she left off LOTR trilogy just because she hates it.

I guess the best answer to that is that I have not seen either of these films and I just put down the movies that came to my mind first. Though, if I had thought of "The Shawshank Redemption", I might not have included it, anyway, as it is always at the number one or number two spot on the IMDB list of best movies and that would have likely skewed the results. Thanks for sharing your favorite Elizabeth Taylor performance! Good choice. Of her nominated performances, SLS is my favorite one. That scream of hers at the end is just wild!

Don't bang your head on the wall like that. You can only go by your own point of reference Mr. Dirty and had you seen others like mentioned, then they could have been included. It is your poll and the titles are from your own psyche.
If you put down other and ask for reasons and posters don't, then that is there own lazy doing and to be disregarded. We can never get absolute or accurate results from polls or stats and is not reflective of the whole picture and can never be. Too much emphasis is put on stats, when it is all subjective too.
Thank you, Toasted Cheese. That was all I was trying to say.
