I only heard bits and pieces but he had one hell of a meltdown after the release of Justice League (or was it Thor: Ragnarok?). It was almost a year ago. |

One thing (I think others have remarked on this before) about Arch: for some reason, this board seems to have driven him nuts. He started off as confident in his opinions but not as rabid as Sammy or (if the gentleman will excuse me) Raptor. Some of his posts are pretty interesting.
Then he went ahead and wrote those pieces arguing that the MCU was better than The Godfather and Citizen Kane and (seriously!) bigger than Jesus. When people (yours truly included) responded to those, incredulous, that’s when he started to get malicious. An odd transformation. I miss the guy, but sometimes I wonder if he’d be quite as goofy and unmalicious as we remember him.

Stanton was the omega who fancied himself an alpha leader - a nasty personality type in real life, the one who will pee in your coffee or worse if his will is not your command. Bon appetite. |

Archie could be goofy and fun and silly, overpraising the MCU to the point of comedy, and he could be bitter and angry and malicious, PMing insane jabber to random people. It’s weird. He turned more towards the latter near the end, which is probably what prompted his PM that caused him to be banished from this place, like being banished from Toyland… (Once Archie crossed its borders, he could never return again.) |

I don’t remember ever having a really negative interaction with Archie either (though I might have and I just don’t remember it), but I did observe how he started treating people towards the end. |

Also, James , I think your comparison to DC-Fan is apt—his and Archie’s goofball style were not that far apart—but I’ve never been able to figure out if DC-Fan is serious about all of it. (Sometimes—when he denies facts, posts the same thing over and and over again, or says Marvel fans hate U.S. troops—I say to myself, Honestly, this guy can’t possibly be serious.) Archie definitely was. |
