With all those twists and turns in it with a great script and a great cast.
It's a crime that Redford and Newman never teamed up for a third one.

I don't know if I'd go that far, it's certainly enjoyable though.

Out of the two movies they did I think Butch Cassidy is clearly more enjoyable all around...
-Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) - 7.5-8/10 (within my Top 101 movies) -The Sting (1973) - 6/10 (I used to think a bit more higher of this but it fell off for me on Nov 3rd 2015)

Better than Butch & Sundance? You know how at the end of B & S they get killed? It's like they reincarnated to meet as conmen in the 1930's.

Better than Butch & Sundance? Egh, I'd give the edge to that instead.

I liked it a lot when it came out but my appreciation has diminished to a 7/10. Too cute. (Same with Butch and Sundance.). The Exorcist, not The Sting, should have won for Best Picture and Best Director.

It's okay, though not a favourite of mine. I didn't think taking money off the villain was adequate revenge for the murder of their friend.

I've always liked it. It's in my top 100. The poker game on the train with Newman pretending to be drunk and an increasingly annoyed Robert Shaw is my favorite scene.

Yeah, and it really shows ya how big Gondorff's balls are. I love his line when he first shows up. "Sorry I'm late guys. I was taking a crap!"

Excellent movie, and yes, even though I like Butch & Sundance as well, this was better.
