...would you do it?
Before you answer, consider the practical consequences.
The transport is handled, but nothing else. You're a child of the 20th century. You find yourself, very suddenly and without the opportunity to prepare, in an unfamiliar environment. How do you cope?
There's no indoor plumbing*, no anesthetic, no basic human rights. You don't speak or write the language (Aramaic or Latin). You don't look like the natives, have nothing of value and don't have any friends or family who are likely to help you. The climate is probably unfamiliar as is the food, customs and culture in general.
Is it worth it? You get to witness one of the most significant periods of history, but what then? You don't get to come back (the transport is only one way), so what do you do with that knowledge? Would it be enough just to have been there? Would you give up your life here just for that chance?
As much as I would like to see it, I don't know that I would, but maybe that's just me.
What about you?
* Not for you, anyway -- you're not an aristocrat -- you're an outsider -- a time traveler with basically no resources and no standing in the community.

I think I'd prefer to wait to see Him in the afterlife.

It would be worth it to meet Brian.

My father is actually old enough to remember life without electricity, and also without plumbing of any sort. During the summer they used to get the runs, because of how manure seeped into dug wells. They would also have to scoop away mosquito larvae before scooping handfuls of water to drink.
And here's me. I'm old enough to remember life without internet.

Not just no, but HELL no. No movies, no plumbing, no television, no electricity, no medicine, no democracy, no internet, no cars... and no upside! Seriously, what's the benefit? You get to see what life was like in a historical period... might appeal to some people but history isn't a great interest of mine anyway. No thank you!

I'd love it. Of course I'd miss the modern conveniences. But I'd have so much knowledge they didn't have that in very short time I'd be wealthy.

I don't get to come back? Well obviously no. What "Jesus" are you referring to? An actual literal divine Biblical Jesus or a "historical Jesus" that wasn't divine? As a nonbeliever obviously I don't believe in the former anyways. If there was a historical Jesus and I could come back to my time, I'd probably do it just to see how much the Bible actually got right.

Even granting a historical jesus, I wouldn't be that interested. And even granting a divine actual god-made-man, I still wouldn't be interested. In the end, neither of those things really matters.

I always imagine that I could wow them with my modern knowledge and turn them on to at least some of the learning gained in the last 2000 years, but more probably they would have me arrested and crucified (or stoned to death) for being a demon-possessed lunatic (even if I showed them my iPhone).

To live or to visit? Granted... either way, it'd still be a pretty shitty vacation.

The one I believe in. You may have a different take on it. That's cool, and I do. My only advice to you is not to miss out on anything in this life, because of this belief you have in an afterlife. ( you know, just in case you are wrong?) Otherwise enjoy your delicious fantasy.

Almost all alive to day would be crucified if they pretty much opened their mouth about anything, Christian or not.
