Andrew Lincoln’s final appearance, and yet he’s made out to be okay??? And now the others are gonna be oblivious to him being alive? Yeah very anticlimactic.
At least the dumb explosion didn’t make it his death. That would’ve been a HUGE slap to the face to a fantastic character in his demise.

I thought it was a very good episode, (the best since S6). It was a very good send send-off for Rick Grimes until they decided to go back and say he was still alive so they could milk this out like a damn soap opera. So they will continue the Rick Grimes story in movie form to be shown on our "TV Boxes"? Gimple ruins everytthonhing! It was a good honorable ending done very well by Angela Kang. She really has improved the direction of the show, since it has sucked majorly from S7. It was RUINED by saying he is definitely still alive. Just so they can bring him in in a couple of years for a series finale episode? Then they show the future teaser with a 10 year-old Judith as a bad-ass head-shooting zombies with Rick's Colt Python and wearing Rick's/Carl's Cowboy hat? GOD, SO DAMN CRINGEWORTHY!!!!!

I just feel the whole "Rick is still alive and was wisked off" ending spoiled the whole episode and evaporated all the emotion from the whole episode!

I thought it was a pretty cool and funny twist.
I actually started laughing.

I thought it was a good episode. I figured they wouldn't just kill Rick like that. So I'm cool with that ending.

I liked it.
I knew they couldn't kill him, not with Carl also dying so recently. But I couldn't think of a way where he would leave Michonne and the town, not with how they set things up thusfar.
This keeps Michonne around, keeps him alive, opens up some interesting world-building opportunities...overall it works.

When I saw him alive on the side of the river I couldn't believe TWD had done it yet again. Such a big let down of what everyone had known was coming - Rick leaving TWD. We had all been expecting his death, only to get another cop-out.

Not disappointed that Rick lives, I myself thought they should have Rick wander off with amnesia or something, just in case AL wanted back in later.

I liked the episode for the most part, but not so much the resolution. I think (hope more than think) that these movies will be the resolution to the story and will build towards the series finale. I mean come on...the show needs to end, it's past its prime. I'd give it another 2 seasons...if that. But I do believe those movies will play into that ending.

As long as the comics are still going, the show will continue by adapting more of the comic storyline. I know that’s a lame reason to not cancel a show, but they haven’t been showing any signs of cancelling when they’ve hit their low on ratings.

But that's why they are expanding into the Walking Dead Extended Universe, so they can keep it going even when this version peters out.

I liked the episode despite the obvious callous trick. I have no doubts that they tricked (again) the viewers because they think they are oh so smart and want to milk the cow into dust however they can. AL wants to leave? Let's make him the star of some random movies...
Anyway, for me it's the perfect spot to stop watching. All the old storylines came to an end more or less nicely and the future is in the hands of badass Judith. This is definitely my personal series finale.
