Who was it that took Robert Kraft's offer? Roger Goodell. That's why when Brady got caught cheating in the AFC Championship Game and should've been suspended for the next game, Goodell instead delayed the investigation and then only gave Brady a slap on the wrist with a meaningless regular season game suspension. Contrast that to the NBA. When Draymond Green got called for a flagrant foul in Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals, the NBA didn't say "Well, it's the NBA Finals so we won't suspend him for the NBA Finals and we're going to wait until the regular season to suspend him." The NBA suspended him for the very next game, which was Game 5 of the NBA Finals. That's what Goodell should've done. Brady got caught cheating in the AFC Championship Game so Brady should've been suspended for the very next game (the Super Bowl). But we all know that Goodell is Kraft's best friend. That's why Goodell has always been lenient on the Patriots despite multiple cheating violations.

Who was it that took Robert Kraft's offer? Roger Goodell. That's why when Brady got caught cheating in the AFC Championship Game ... You need to go back on your meds, cupcake. You’re conflating your fantasy world with the real world again. In the real world, Tom Brady has never been caught cheating. Ever. It took a multi-million dollar investigation and months of careful data manipulation to be able to claim that Tom Brady might have known about a scheme to remove 0.01 psi from some footballs. In the real world, Jerry Jones has just publically announced that he is willing to illegally use his vast fortune to buy himself another Super Bowl. Makes one wonder about those previous ones, eh? In the real world, another Dallas Cowboys season has just gone down the crapper, and the Patriots are poised for another SB run. Do try to stay on topic. This thread is about Jerry Jones. If you want to get schooled in another Deflategate argument, start another thread.

I thought the salary cap was supposed to actually prevent owners from basically buying a SB victory. This happened all the time in the 80s and 90s. The best teams were all stacked with the highest paid players.
But this is sort of an ode to Brady's greatness. He's been able to consistently win game after game with really average receivers and average running back support. Although, you could make a decent argument that Gronk is one of the best TEs ever. but still put him on a different team and he is probably not nearly as effective.
In fact, I think Brady could at least make the playoffs even if he was playing for the Browns.

In the real world, Tom Brady has never been caught cheating. In the real world, Shady Brady was caught using illegally-deflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game. That's a fact that is not in dispute. An independent investigator whom Robert Kraft himself praised for his integrity found that Brady participated in a scheme to illegally tamper with the footballs. That is a fact that is not in dispute. And the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals confirmed the independent investigator's findings and guilty verdict. That is a fact that is not in dispute.

I thought the salary cap was supposed to actually prevent owners from basically buying a SB victory. It does, but that hasn’t stopped Jerry Jones. Just a few years ago he tried to circumvent the salary cap rules and got nailed by the NFL to the tune of $10 million dollars! Since he can’t legally buy another Super Bowl, he is now making it known that he’s willing to pay anything to anyone if they can get him another title. Wow. The poor guy is as desperate as a Cowboys fan trying to change the subject in this thread!

I think this revelation brings into question all the previous championships the Cowboys “won” with Jerry Jones as the owner.
Was he always willing to illegally use his vast fortune to buy championships, or is this a recent development?

What do folks think of those two game deciding 3rd down penalties the refs gifted to the Cowboys in the 4th quarter?
I immediately thought that Jerry Jones must have written that big check he said he would write to get to the Super Bowl.
