A 57-minute film produced by the Australian National Film Board, and uploaded to YouTube by the National Film and Sound Archive.
The film depicts a couple from Ukraine, who are separated by WW2. They meet again in a refugee camp, and live there for several years. When the camp is closing, they decide to immigrate to Australia.
Though most of the film is staged, the final segment, featuring their tense interview to get approval to move to Australia, is apparently real.
The film generally was shown in circumstances other than theatrical (such as at an auditorium or such), but a small theatrical release did occur in 1953. Critical response seems to have been generally positive.
