Why can't Christians see that? Jesus didn't force his beliefs on people.
School should strictly be a place where kids go to learn. All religions, Creed's, nationalities accepted with no prejudice. Teachers and educators are there to educate.
Would you be happy if a school forced your kid to praise Allah? or do Chakra meditation for enlightenment? No, of course not.
Shouldn't you teach your kids whatever you want at home or in your church of choice?

Would you be unhappy if they started putting verses from the Koran on public buildings?

Selective reasoning regarding religion and depending on whose religion it is.
In schools—unless it is a private institution run by a church denomination, then you get what you pay for and buy into—NO educational institute, or any secular institution for that matter, should be preaching any religion of any kind. No parent should be forcing any religion of any kind onto their children either and depriving them of their basic human right of freedom of liberty\choice. There are NO religious FREEDOMS for these brainwashed kids.

No parent should be allowed to raise their kid? Got it. No organization should promote its views and ideals? Got it.

Would you be unhappy if they started putting verses from the Koran on public buildings? im in happy with the Ten Commandments on buildings. It means nothing to me overall though. I feel no compulsion to any religion based on displays of its views. Still this doesn’t happen very often and I would be fine with it as part of a collection since that’s impartial.

I'm glad you feel that way. There are some Christians (especially the ones that tend to align with conservative Republican politics) that feel that they're excepted from the First Amendment because, well, they practice the true religion and worship the true god.

"Jesus didn't force his beliefs on people."
Debatable, depends on how you interpret scripture:
Matthew 10:34: "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword"
