I question if this is a Domino effect leading into the deadline - stating the Sixers are 'going for it' this year. I,e. trade Fultzy and the 2021 first Rounder with some slop to the Cavs for Love Simmons Redick Butler Love Embiid That is a beast of a lineup that comes out of the East Enough about Kevin Love. He has the body of a ‘71 Pinto by now.

we got rid of Bayless's horrible contract before the trade deadline possibly setting up additional moves! ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/s8tffwvq1/cheers.gif) Salary swap about the same. Bayless in final year of contract.

i'm going to 2nd level thinking here.
is it possible the starting lineup is (i.e you Switch Simmons from '1' on offense to '4' on defense)
so in a sense the starting lineup is
simmons fultz redick butler embiid
simmons plays the '4' on 'd' as fultzy guards the '1'.
on 'offense' simmons continues to run the point and we continue to experiment with fultzy at the '2'

What a HUGE mistake. Butler is a selfish bastard who can't get along with young talent. He didn't in Chicago, he didn't in Minnesota, and he won't in Philly. A tiger cannot change his stripes.

NBA Fans.
This is an intriguing storm brewing here.
Is it possible the combo of Simmons/Butler/Embiid draws KD or Klay here next year in free agency.
Is this the dawn of another superteam?

No. I sense the sixers as the most polarizing sports franchise in the world right now you either hate them or have your fare share of bandwagon jumpers haters will hate. and I'm not sure there's room for more on the bandwagon. we told all of you clowns to 'Trust the Process' - it's ashame a majority of you didn't buy in

Should have given them Fultz too. But then the F.E.D.S. would be broken up! B.E.D.S. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/5hoy7902h/confused.gif)

I don't like Butler as much as the next guy.
He's a wormy manipulator who wants to be 'the man' and can't share the stage.
Prediction.
He got his wish and got dealt.
Contract year.
He'll be on best behavior.
He's going to lead the Sixers to the Finals playing his a$$ off looking for a Mega Deal and then sign with the Heat or Clips (possibly Nets) next year.

They haven't won anything since Reagan's first term. They've had some moments since then, mainly the Iverson years, but they haven't sat at the NBA's big boy table in a long time. They might be getting back with the elites soon, very possible, but outside of this board apparently, no one else really cares about them. Sorry to be so blunt, you just need to slow your roll. Jimmy Butler ain't getting you past the Celtics, he don't have the stomach. Keep trying though. 👍

Didn’t the Rockets offer 4 first round picks for Butler? Wouldn’t that have been better for them in the long run?

Didn’t the Rockets offer 4 first round picks for Butler? Wouldn’t that have been better for them in the long run? possibly. it's all about what you do with those 'assets' - they could have been trade bait at the deadline or draft. butler was bolting anyway and wanted out. wolves didn't want to deal him to a western team. I think cov and Dario will fit in there and wish them well. Dario is going to be a very good piece to a team - he needs to realize though this is where he's making his bread and butter - i.e. coming into the season with dead legs because you're playing overseas 24/7 ain't going to benefit you in the long run. perfect 6th man. same can said about Cov - he'd be a great SF coming off the bench - problem is the Sixers relied on them as starters.

It seems weird that if Butler didn’t want to be the third option to 2 Gen Z’ers that he’d now be okay with being the third option to 2 Gen Z’ers.
Butler makes Le'veon Bell seem like teammate of the year.
