Had hopes for Miss. State today - another dominant whitewash - 24-0 Tide
Let's say we get one of those meaningless 'fun' exhibitions like Hulk Hogan vs. Rocky Balboa.
Who do you root for?
Or is this a situation - 'Whoever wins - we lose'.

The Patriots are the only Boston team I don't root for, and oddly enough, I have family who lived in Alabama and are Roll Tide kind of folks.

I never understood the Brady haters I didn't have a problem with the Shady One until it was discovered that he and the Pats cheated to win their Super Bowls with SpyGate. Then the Shady One got caught cheating again with DeflateGate. I don't like cheaters and frauds because there are plenty of players and teams who worked their butts off to put themselves in position to win a championship and then a cheater and fraud like Brady comes along and takes a shortcut and cheats his way to those championships. Brady is basically the Bernie Madoff of the NFL. Plenty of people worked hard to earn that money and Madoff just scammed them and took their money and got to live a comfortable life even though he didn't earn it. I don't understand why people wouldn't have a problem with that and would root for cheaters and frauds like Brady and Madoff.

Who takes more blame for these transgressions over the years - Brady or Belichick - or are they both pretty much The Devil?

SpyGate was probably Belichick's idea but Brady was definitely in on it because there's no way it works without the starting QB being in on it. DeflateGate we know it was all Brady since Belichick was cleared by the independent investigator (which debunks the claims by Pats' fans that the independent investigator was biased against the Pats because if he was biased, he would've implicated Belichick also but he completely cleared Belichick of any wrongdoing in DeflateGate so there was obviously no bias).

I grew up in this magical, olden time called the 1970s. And back then, the Pats were the weak link of the Boston sports world, the "Fredo's" if you will. Plus, they used to play on artificial turf, which made me like them even less. Only fun thing about the Pats back then were the old uniforms and Sam "Bam" Cunningham. I've been a Chargers fan since I first saw Dan Fouts. I'm not a Brady hater at all, I got mad respect for the guy, and secretly harbor a man-crush for the dude. I ain't saying no if he and Giselle invite me up to the mansion.

So I guess one can argue Brady is Belichicks puppet even thought puppet has had enough of the puppeteer setting up for an epic ugly split? and do you give 'bama any chance in this game?

Bama's chances of winning this game would be as slim as the 2007 Giants' chances of beating an 18*-0 team in the Super Bowl. If Bama won, it would rival the Miracle on Ice (a group of college and amateur players beating a professional team) as the greatest upset in sports history.

I love discussing those old school Boston teams with DJ, McHale. The Chief, Bird - I always considered Danny Ainge 'Fredo'.

That's kind of harsh on Danny Ainge, but when you compare him to those other four Celtics legends, yeah he's a Fredo. We used to say he was there mainly to pick up chicks for the other guys. The rest of them weren't exactly lookers.
