Len, I'm so sorry about your beloved cat's death. My beloved cats are my family, and the pain of loss is real. I try to find comfort in the fact that, while they were with me, they never heard a harsh word or saw an unkind action. All of mine have been rescued. With me, they had food, water, warmth, love and veterinary care. It doesn't make the loss any less, but I know I did my best for them. My condolences... Thank you. If there's a heaven they'll be there waiting for us. If there's a Heaven, I'm sure our adopted family members will get in...

I've learned how to write more clearly from being on this forum; one ambiguous statement and all sorts of misunderstandings ensue.
I've also learned that not every post needs to be responded to. Any many times, if I wait long enough, someone else will post a response that I might have, and all I have to do is 'like' the post, instead of typing out the entire response and painting a target on my back!

Had a total unknown come after me and after a friend the other day … seems our "liking" each others posts was somehow perceived by this total stranger as "egging me on" in some thread perceived by them as a battle . I have learned that : Backing quietly out the side door and avoiding direct eye contact is often the way to go. <-- literally 
Speaking of targets on backs: I have also learned that manners and quiet replies and having no interest in "debates" or wars of semantics are all too often seen as weakness.  |

I have learned what fun it is to real time "talk" to people who are located literally on the other side of the world from where I am … and in the same keystroke "talk" to people in several other time zones. It used to be household panic time if a "long distance phone call" was made or received … HURRY AND COME TO THE PHONE .. IT'S LONG DISTANCE ! and now …. kangaroos and bodies buried out back of the house in the outback. How cool is that !  |
