Have learned not to be surprised by the amount of rudeness and insensitivity that can be displayed by even the most "normal" seeming of posters... now to work on figuring out how to not be dismayed by the amount of rudeness and insensitivity that can be displayed by even the most "normal" seeming of posters.

"Out on the wastes of the Never Never... That's where the dead men lie! There where the heat waves dance forever. That's where the dead men lie!"
...Yeah, that's not creepy at all...
You're certainly in the right neighbourhood.
Basically, it's called the Never Never because you should never never go because if you do, you'll never never come back.
That's why Mick Dundee's business was named Never-Never Safaris: Thank goodness IMDb still has trivia and quotes on the pages, but I do still miss the message boards...

An EDGE? Bit of an understatement, don't you think? I googled Milat: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backpacker_murdersWow. All I can say is wow. Backpacking in Australia goes on my list of things never to do. You're not - related - to him at all, right?

Learned
That not all things turned out as I thought, like having a flea-market on a road that nobody travels anymore or have forgotten about, or in other words, no replies.

Wow. All I can say is wow. Backpacking in Australia goes on my list of things never to do. You're not - related - to him at all, right? 1. Yes, it'd certainly give the phrase, "bucket list" a new immediacy to it.
2. I don't think so.
However, if you go back far enough into history, eventually you'll discover common ancestors for all members of the Human species.

Despite common ancestry, all human behavior is a combination of genetics, brain chemistry, psychology and environment. But I do wonder what the children of serial killers think about their childhoods. Just as an aside, it's 3:39 pm Friday here in Middle USA; what time is it there? Edit: Hmmm, must be sleepy-time!

The word which has dictated my life's course and choices. (Not a good thing). Well the second mention made me look it up! Luckily google also had the audible pronounciation. That is a handy word.

Strangely enough, it wouldn't surprise me if some of them had very happy childhoods. Humans can be such contradictory creatures sometimes.
0922 hours, Saturday morning.
I woke up at 0402 hours.

Ah, the early bird buries the backpacker? How's the available space in that big back yard of yours, LOL? So, since it's summer down under, you've got the longer days. Up here we all have 'seasonal affective disorder' from the lack of light and dreary weather. How hot does it get in your neck of the woods, er, outback?

It's strictly legit... okay?
I keep unusual hours due to chromic pain. A week or so ago, I was getting up around 2300 hours to midnight, but I've been creeping slowly around the clock.
So far, the temperature hasn't gone too far beyond the low 30s. However, anything from mid to high 40s is not unusual where I live. The nights can be quite lovely, but I suggest you find a dark room with an air conditioner to sleep through the days.

Yikes! I just googled the conversion tables... I'd wilt in no time at all! Of course, where I live, the humidity makes the heat worse. If global warming continues, I'll' soon be toast!

In the late 1970s, I lived in Queensland, on the Tropic of Capricorn. It was warm all year round and especially humid during summer.
I now live in South Australia, within sight of the southern coastline and it feels exactly the same far too often...
If anything, I think global warming is speeding up.

Sadly, I think you are right about the warming...

The word which has dictated my life's course and choices. (Not a good thing). care to share some stories from your life, relating to the word? i bet there are some amusing stories to tell… No thanks, I think I will pass on that. Not really amusing to me. Just a dreary sequence of teenage infatuations, young adult infatuations, middle-aged infatuations and senile infatuations which largely derailed my academic progress, my career, two marriages and finally led me to live where I do now, the Isle of Shapely Asses.

Haha I remember those commercials from years ago. Flo was hot! Just looked up some more recent commercials. She looks really old now and plastered with cakeup. A shame I don't know if we're talking about the same person. The commercials are ongoing and current and she kinda looks the same still. Yeah I think she looks a bit bloaty now. Still would though.
