M. Night Shyamalan's movies from 1999 to 2008 are very clearly "his." I'm not saying his movies from 2010 to today feel like they were made by another director; I'm saying they feel like they were each made by a different director. It's more distracting in SPLIT once it's revealed it's part of the same universe as UNBREAKABLE. Well, at least I can understand THE VISIT, since you can't take many liberties visuals-wise with found footage.
