I don’t want to hear about Sean Connery or Tem Morrison who didn’t even attempt accents for the nationalities they were playing.. who are some really bad attempts .. I’ll start with three big ones and come back for more later
Don Cheadle - The oceans films - an English accent so terrible I thought they were going to write it into the script that it was part of his con game and that he wasn’t supposed to be English ... but no.
Keanu Reeves - Bram Stokers Dracula - well he cant act so him putting on an accent was never going to work
Natascha McElhone - Ronin - I don’t know what happened here, she is generally good but should’ve been recast when they saw she could not do the Irish accent

Well I have to make the obligatory "Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins" answer.

Donald Sutherland - Virus What kind of accent was he trying to do? I got the impression he was doing a Maritimes Canadian accent but then he had something that reminded me of Long John Silver.
I love that movie. Half the cast looks embarrassed but Sutherland cracks me up.
EVERTON IS THE DOMINANT LIFEFORM.

The WORST I EVER heard was Fritz Weaver doing a French accent.

Definitely Dennis Quaid trying to do a Cajun accent in The Big Easy and failing horribly. I'm born and raised in Southern Louisiana and know that accent like the back of my hand.....and his wasn't in the same universe!

Kevin Costner - Robin Hood Tommy Lee Jones - Blown Away Donald Sutherland - Virus Was Costner even trying to do an accent? I thought he just went straight American I may be wrong, but I seem to recall reports at the time that Costner started out attempting an accent but gave up at some point during filming, which is why sometimes he seems to be attempting a mangled British accent and others he's straight-up American.

Ted Danson's 'Aussie accent' is classic.

Well danson is supposed to be putting on the accent badly (and is classic I agree) but the other characters are supposed to be from Australia and they are very bad

Great show, but the 'Aussies' were certainly distracting. Hopefully the Australian stuff is all out of the way now.

KEANU REEVES - Bram Stoker's Dracula
LOL, His Accent in that movie is so bad that it's actually enjoyable (to me at least) to watch.

In addition the great posts already made, I'll add Gregory Peck in 1951's Captain Horatio Hornblower. He's playing a classic British naval hero and during the entire film he never even bothered to try doing a British accent, as if it were beneath him.
Of course, this was 1951, so you also also have Christopher Lee wearing brown face as a Spanish villain. Because Spain not having any actors, you know.

Kevin Costner - Robin Hood Tommy Lee Jones - Blown Away Donald Sutherland - Virus Costner didn't even attempt an accent, which I suppose is its own sin. But yeah, Jones in Blown Away is an all timer. Arguably the worst Irish accent in history. I'll call out everyone except Damon and Wahlberg in The Departed.
