Two of my favorite characters are Ziggy and teenage Mark. I still think Lecy Goranson as Becky is a major babe. And Danielle Harris as Molly. She looked amazing at that age with that style. No wonder David was spying on her. I thought it was DJ that was spying? Darlene caught David by accident with the ring around the eye bit at the end.

And in the last scene Molly comes over to tell Darlene that she caught him peeping on her again, and then David goes downstairs and he has a black ring around his eye from some stuff Darlene put on the binocular device.

The earlier seasons were good, but later on, when Roseanne lost weight, got plastic surgery, etc., she just turned into a mean, interfering bitch. And I don't know what they did to Jackie. She was just ridiculously over the top.

She was just ridiculously over the top. That happens when sitcoms go on too long. The characters become caricatures of themselves. That said, I feel seasons 6-8 had more good than bad. Season 9 never should have happened, and the finale was the biggest mulligan in history, except possibly for St. Elsewhere.

I liked the show in the first season or two but I tuned out when they started being actually proud of being white trash.
Roseanne would say WT and the audience would shit themselves laughing and applauding. eh!

Seasons 1 - 4 were the best. Seasons 5 - 8 were still really good Season 9 - Suck-a-roonie! I had a bit of a crush on Lecy Goranson.

This I don't remember? What do you mean? In the last episode when Roseanne reveals everything was just her book, she said in real life Mark married Darlene and Becky did David, so she switched them around. I quit watching after the lottery BS but are you serious about Becky and David?

I quit watching after the lottery BS but are you serious about Becky and David? Yes, he is. It was revealed that Dan died of a heart attack, the Daughters boyfriends/husband's were switched around and that Jackie was a lesbian. Apparently everything that happened after the family surprised her with the writers room they built for her in season 2 or 3, was all part of Roseanne's writings.

yeah but that's like saying everything you watched for the last 9 years was BS and one big dream sequence. I own the DVD set and when I watch I never watch it past the episode where they won the lotto. I think that should have been the finale! They could have left it up to the fans imagination what happens next.

I don't blame you. I guess they figured they were giving the fans a cool little twist. I can't imagine thinking that's cool at all

I was even a little okay with the white trash cracks... what pissed me off was not only them winning the lottery, but the amount they won...
sorry, people don't get to sit on their butts cracking jokes and beer cans play the lotto with the dollar they DO make and then win a gagillian dollars! now they can sit on their butts cracking walnuts and coconuts! world doesn't work that way.
sorry for the rant, I teach in a shotty neighborhood in the south Bronx where people can't afford to feed their kids but can afford 60 inch plasma TV's [yeah, plural]. this kind of stuff gets to me.

On the show, the Conners would buy stuff they didn't need all the time. Just look at their Halloween and Christmas antics for starters. Darlene confirms this in a Season 8 episode where she was offered a high paying job.

She goes shopping the day after the holidays when she gets stuff for up to 75% off and she saves it for the following year.

I think the first 4 seasons are the best, something about the show just changed after Becky left the first time. The show became more about Roseanne's weird Hollywood friends and crazy storylines.

She goes shopping the day after the holidays when she gets stuff for up to 75% off and she saves it for the following year. Earlier seasons show their poor spending habits, like blowing their money on perfume and a bell when they had an opportunity to get ahead on bills. The extravagant Halloween and Christmas supplies couldn't possibly be held over from the previous. Roof ornaments, front yard decorations, the costumes, the make-up, the party favors. That's a LOT of stuff. Where do they keep it? And it doesn't seem like anything they use one year is reused again the next year. The way they take pride in their festiveness, it really looks like they go all out during the holidays and buy everything that year. And as I mentioned, Darlene confirms that her parents spend their money irresponsibly, which royally pisses them off in that episode.
