Well it was promised and we finally have it. screenrant.com/mcu-timeline-official/1943-1945: Captain America: The First Avenger 2010: Iron Man 2011: Iron Man 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor 2012: The Avengers, Iron Man 3 2013: Thor: The Dark World 2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man 2016: Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming 2016 through to 2017: Doctor Strange 2017: Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War Aaaaand...it's a bit contradictory because Vision said in the 8 years Tony Stark had announced himself as Iron Man so either Iron Man should have been set in 2008 or Civil War in 2018. They've got Infinity War as being five years after The Avengers....but didn't they refer to the attack as being six years ago? Wasn't Black Panther supposed to be only days after Civil War because they said as much on the news at the start of the movie? The rest seems about right without looking too deep into it.

Are you all that exact when you speak? I mean, sometimes I say my husband died 15 yrs ago. Other times 18. I dont always figure out "it's November 2018. He died is January 2001 so it was 17 yrs ago" I mean, really? Yeah, Vision should be more exact, but he is also newish. And dust so whatever.

Yeah but then Spider-man Homecoming is set only a little after Civil War and at the end of that movie Happy Hogan said he'd been holding on to Tony Stark's engagement ring for 8 years.
And of course Tony Stark developed feelings for Pepper Potts sometime during Iron Man. So that would have tied in with it as well.

In SMH, they said it was 8 years after the Chitauri invasion. So now they've retconned it to only 4 years?

And of course Tony Stark developed feelings for Pepper Potts sometime during Iron Man. So that would have tied in with it as well. Tony didnt need to plan to marry Pepper in the first movie. Actually he would more logically have done it somewhere in between 1 & 2, or maybe just after 2. Or the events in The Avengers might have nudged him over

In SMH, they said it was 8 years after the Chitauri invasion. So now they've retconned it to only 4 years? Yes but the Russo brothers already said the "8 years later" comment was wrong anyway. ' Chanchlani decided to put Russo to the test with trivia questions about the MCU, and one of them was the time-gap between The Avengers and Homecoming. "It was eight years, I believe," Russo responded. "It was a very incorrect eight years."' So that was just a clear mistake on the movies part.

I'm going to ignore this timeline and just try to enjoy the movies. The "8 years later thing" in Homecoming was a mistake, nothing more, nothing less.

I thought the beginning of BP took place a week after CW? How can it take place in 2017? In any case, if the movie does take place in 2017, that means that the “What are those” reference has even less of an excuse for being there, considering that the meme was most definitely dead by that point.

I'm sure it did say it was one week later. Was there a time jump after that? I can't remember but I did think it was only shortly after Civil War because he fought for King because the other one had just died a bit ago.
