I actually think it'd happen. Only not with him. Like they'll adapt Flashpoint or something then the last minute plot twist is that he dies and Wally West is in his place.

Better perhaps but I liked Miller than expected and wouldn't mind his reappearance.

Miller is a terrible Barry Allen He would be better Hartley looks too photogenic for Barry, Barry should be more normal looking and not exactly somebody who stands out from a crowd of people when out of costume. Also, Barry in this universe is meant to be early 20's, Hartley is 41. However, Hartley wouldn't be a bad fit for Reverse Flash or Hal Jordan.

Better perhaps but I liked Miller than expected and wouldn't mind his reappearance. I say Miller deserves another shot, Warner Bros. chopped up and re-did a lot of Snyder's cut to Justice League last minute and made his character even more of a joker than he originally was intended to be. While kind of a weirdo Miller is still an excellent acting talent and could do better in the role of Barry Allen given the right oversight of the project.

Hartley is perfect for Barry,he looks the part and can pull off an intellectual. Hes not an awkward emo guy.

Barry should be more of an everyman type. What was emo about Miller's portrayal? Awkward sure I can see that but emo? Do you know what emo is?

Barry should be more of an everyman type. What was emo about Miller's portrayal? Awkward sure I can see that but emo? Do you know what emo is? Emo stems from the term emotiv, originating in overly emotional and often depressing punk rock music originating toward the end of the last century. It has extended to attire, personality traits, and an overall sub-pop culture. Flash could display emotiv symptoms in lines of dialogue such as, "Yeah, I... I need... friends." But more likely the poster was referencing the fact that he is normally portrayed as a colorful, fun-loving character in the comic books, only to be seen as a downtrodden introvert who's main goals in life revolve around his imprisoned Dad that is admittingly having a negative affect on his life, his grunge-era wardrobe, and his very confined, obsessive, and otherwise bleakly lit abode. Is Flash outright emo? Not necessary. Is Flash portrayed as even more emo than Batman which in itself is worth discussing? Yeah, that's definitely arguable.

I think you're giving newnexus too much credit, but I can see your point though. It was Snyder's plan to make Flash more introverted at first with a sense of humor - though nothing to the point of what we saw in the final cut. He would've become more like his comic counterpart overtime but Snyder's long term plans were vetoed out during production.

This plus how Miller looks, totally emo. Are we talking about Miller in general or how he looked in the movie? I find it kind of amusing though how you are latching onto the user's description of what "emo" is when most likely your definition of it wasn't anywhere as thorough as theirs were. Says a lot about your debating skills.

He still like himself in JL Well there's not a whole lot you can have the guy do to look any different than he already does for such a role, other than giving him some beach blonde hair. Still my point stands - Hartley is too old for this iteration of The Flash, and he's better suited for other DC characters - he played Green Arrow pretty well on Smallville.
