Got 3 perfectly-sized necks at the store today (sold separate from other giblets, too, so I didn't have to bother with that other stuff). It was only $2.04 for the 3-pack. Just got done baking them in the oven. They smell delicious. Will let them cool down a bit before I dig in.

Not very much meat on them, if I recall.

Sauté chopped carrots, onions, celery in a large pot. Add some of your favorite spices (salt, parsley, pepper, sage, garlic, etc.) Cook some egg noodles. Pull off all the meat from the cooked turkey necks. Add noodles and meat to the pot. Pour in some turkey broth and simmer until everything is hot.

nutsberryfarm 🏜: as far as seasoning, I kept it to a minimum since, like pork, turkey doesn't need a lot of seasoning IMHO. I used salt, pepper, a little garlic salt, and I added some chopped onion and celery, along with a cup of water and about 3 tablespoons of salted butter. I covered it and baked in the oven for 2 hours (until the water was pretty much evaporated), so they were extremely tender. VERY tasty. Next time I might try using a little chicken stock and poultry rub seasoning, but the way I just did it this time was fine, too.

NJtoTX, llanwydd: they're meatier than you'd think. Plus, the meat on the neck is much richer, which is why it's such a valuable ingredient for making turkey soup.
