Doesn't that sound delicious?
I was tasked with buying a pie for Thanksgiving. Found one of these at a local pie place and thought "Hot damn! That sure do sound mighty tasty! Yessir!" But when I texted a few family members to get approval the replies were: 3 nos and a Mint? Yuck!
So I had to go with boring chocolate cream.
Am I the only one in the world that loves mint?

Miko loves whipped cream on EVERYTHING, including plain and served on a finger.

McDonald's used to have a delicious minty milkshake ("shamrock shake") for St Patrick's Day.

no idea … was a punkin' pie image that wasn't GIANT and wasn't teeny-tiney and it was purdy and seemed appropriate to the thread.
The pies I make from home grown punkins look pretty much like the one in the image for the short time that they survive.

Personally I'm a big fan of mint, but it can be divisive, it's quite a strong flavor.
I'm not American, so not sure what is traditionally eaten for Thanksgiving and whether or not that had anything to do with the negative responses.

I like mint anything (in the summertime especially ). It's really not traditional as an autumn pie and I too think that had something to do with the yuck reaction. I wouldn't want chocolate pie on Thanksgiving but maybe that's just me

I usually order birthday cakes that no one else will eat because I delibrately picked the weirdest flavor at the bakery. But rest assured, there will be both pumpkin and pecan pie on the table tomorrow. Extended family is meeting for dessert only, so mine is but one of half a dozen pies.

Btw, my second and third choices were key lime and bourbon butterscotch... But those were voted down too!

I'm usually in agreement with Ackbars but mint pie sounds disgusting. Chocolate cream pie is delicious tho. Mint is not. Once while tripping on acid a friend gave me what I thought was a grape Popsicle while we were driving around at night. I took a bite and it was not grape nor a popsickle. It was a mint fudgesickle. It was very traumatic. I'm not sure the unenlightened can understand but I felt like sharing.
