We reviewed "Strangers on a Train" about a month ago on our youtube channel, it's starring Farley Granger, Robert Walker and Ruth Roman. Good thriller, it keeps your attention and has a great ending. Let us know what you guy's thought of it. Classic Hitchcock, I liked the so called European version a bit better, it's more suggestive, as I remember it. What I might question is part of the ending, without revieling too much for those who eventually hasn't seen it, is that the police is shooting straight into a merry-go-round were children are riding, that seems incredibly irresponsible, but on the other hand it could have been a spur of the moment thoughtless reaction too.

MY thoughts exactly how crazy is that shooting into a carousel full of kids WHOA!!! Maybe the director knew it would get that reaction and did it on purpose.

Sublime direction as always from Hitchcock.
I just wish that the script was a bit closer to the book. Farley Granger's character is so uninteresting and one-dimensional in the film. Guy is dealing with a dangerous nuisance in Bruno, rather than battling real psychological torment and guilt that Bruno brings on. Plus the happy ending really leaves a kind of "meh" feeling.
