This is a first for me. In the old IMDB boards as well as other forums I frequent, there are usually more DC trolls hanging around than there are Marvel trolls. Not only are there more of them but they're also more aggressive. So I find it somewhat surprising that in this website there are actually more Marvel trolls than there are DC trolls, or at least as far as I've noticed.
And though I find myself majority of the time preferring Marvel over DC, it's actually kind of sad to see so much flame threads going up against DC movies here.

I was pretty late to the imdb "party" so I suppose I missed the prolonged build up to BvS. Saw some obvious dumb trolling from a DCEU camp by a Joby Dimms, or a wormhole, however nothing too massive (perhaps I missed it). but after BvS wasn't the hottest thing in town......eh....I felt it was surprisingly aggressive from an opposition.
Now you can argue they "deserve it," but.....why? Because I don't see the point.
besides constantly berating someone or their preference just causes them to hold to it tighter than before.

It's one thing to point out perceived flaws and criticism of the franchise but it's another to excoriate people just liking the movies. I did not like the new JL trailer but I'm not going to tell others who did to fuck off;hell I'm still seeing it. That's not cool. Everyone just calm down.

There were more Marvel troll posts, but those were usually made by only a few people who just kept repeating the same things over and over. To be fair, DC boards have also almost always been more active than Marvel boards. In this website however I noticed that the MCU board is more active than the DC one. |

I think the lesser activity in Dc board is because I'm assuming more Marvel fans transferred/are more active, combined with the trolling causing DCEU fans to take a more passive, or defensive approach. |

For a while there, the DC fans were dominating these boards and I honestly felt like the outsider as a Marvel fan. I'm shocked there was such a turnaround.

Are you guys lumping the Fox trolls with the MCU trolls as one big group of Marvel trolls? Because the Fox trolls are the most aggressive people I have ever seen. That hate is outrageous.
Also, when did fan turn into troll? It seems that if a person likes and talks about the thing that's not the same as the thing you like, they are a troll.

Because everyone is a snarky piece of shit all the time, and it's impossible to have anything resembling a dialogue without it breaking down into a tribalistic recitation of talking points, tired arguments, etc. |
