Not the worst of the series but lacking when compared to the prior films.
That Freddy baby. Nightmare Fuel, indeed.
When Freddy gets surrounded by the hundred maniacs, was anyone else expecting him to suffer the same fate as his mother?
I like the sequence that involves Super Freddy and him slashing apart that comic book artist.

Second weakest in the franchise. Freddy was getting out of control with the humour at this point. The kills were great though.

The kills were great though. Indeed. Unfortunately not enough of them. Bizarre how this and Freddy's Dead slashed the body count in half from the prior films. The body count is supposed to go UP, not down.

The body count is supposed to go UP, not down. I know! Like did the writers focus too much on his one-liners, they forgot to even put enough kills in the movies?

I very much like it. I always thought it was underrated. Shame they never put the unrated version on DVD/Blu Ray.

'A Nightmare On Elm Street 5' is my second favourite in the franchise and I think it is underrated too and has some great scenes in it and love watching it and 'A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master' (which is my favourite Horror movie of all time) back to back. I have never seen the unrated version but are there any major differences in it compared to the version that has been released on DVD/VHS and Blu Ray?

Stephen Hopkins slammed the cast as amateurs. Lisa Wilcox wrote a letter to a magazine (Premiere I think) telling to shove it.

I believe just the Dam and Greta deaths are extended (and a lot cooler/more disturbing) while everything else is the same.
