Nora sorry we have wandered off talking of ships and sails and sealing wax and cabbages and kings and flamingoes … nice hat, btw ! no worries - flamingos on t-rex are a worthy distraction. and thank you. turns out getting in the american holiday spirit was quite easy. i even went to my archery lesson like that and people didnt seem to be bothered. this is also a part of the reason i love America. Or the bigger cities certainly. You can walk down a street in a silly Santa hat on 25th of November and nobody gives you strange looks. |

And another thing about lights: The LED lights rated for outdoors are freaking bright. Maybe ones rated for indoors are not so bright. Oh yes! Great point! Watch the "temperature" of clear led lights, some are very shrill and unpleasant indoors. I prefer the soft white. Here's a chart that relates the "temperature" to the color of clear lights. You can't just grab a box of clear lights anymore, lol:  it was my understanding that there would be no math |

so I spent about 45 dollars so far and feel like I am almost done! Got a lot of stuff from the discount store. Its cheap and crappy but it will do for two weeks. Got various lights, got a Santa hat and outfit for my GIANT teddybear, some xmas socks and ornaments to put on the wall, got a miniature sleigh as a table centerpiece and now all I need is one or two little reindeers AND I AM DONE.
Wanted to make my treadmill into a giant sleigh and put a stuffed Santa on top of it, but the Santas I liked are expensive so I guess Ill have to stop at what I have now. Buts its hard.
Putting it up in 2 days, literally cannot wait. Pictures will be taken. Oh yeah.

Go to Dollar Tree or Dollar General. Plenty of cheap Christmasy stuff.
I would suggest the idea of decorating the walls with ugly Christmas sweaters but they've been so much in trend over the last 10 years that there's hardly any to be found at Goodwill and the like.
