The Last Emperor is my favorite of his. It's visually stunning and it has a great story. RIP.

I intend to rewatch 1900 but it's a daunting undertaking. I saw and enjoyed The Last Emperor at the Biograph Theater in Chicago. That's where Dillinger saw Manhattan Melodrama just before G-men shot him down. My evening went better.

1900 - my favourite, but I like it a little less with each viewing - I've seen it 3 times. Despite the 5 hour running time, it's not a chore and really needs to be seen in a single sitting if possible.

there are too many scorsese fans around. i think the likes of scorsese and tarantino found a way to shoot and edit a movie that would bore us to death with the old movies. maybe nobody wants to acknowledge this.

1900 is an okay film but Sutherland is just way over the top. I don't mind the running time though. I typically enjoy long films.
