All-Time Regular Season Wins & World Series Titles You could actually split this into two different lists ( right after BAL and before LAA ) The Angels are the leader for the expansion teams.

Braves, the oldest franchise, only ranks 6th.
The Phillies are 20 years older than the Yankees and have 486 less wins. (The original Orioles founded in the AL in 1901 are not considered a part of the Yankees history)

(The original Orioles founded in the AL in 1901 are not considered a part of the Yankees history) I thought the Reds were the oldest. The original Red Stockings, the first fully professional baseball team, folded in 1870. There was a new Red Stocking that were charter members of the NL. They were booted in 1880 for the heinous crime of selling beer. The current Reds started in the (major) American Association in 1882 and jumped to the NL in 1890. The Braves were founded in 1871 (with a lot of players from the original Cincinnati team) and have played ever since. The Chicago White Stockings/Cubs were also founded in 1871 but suspended play for two years due to the Great Chicago Fire.

Very interesting!
Few people realize that the Racine/Chicago/St.Louis/Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals are in fact the oldest professional football franchise ( established in 1898 )
Most people guess Chicago Bears ( 1919 )
It's an easy way to win a bar bet!

winning percentage might be more significant to look at than wins alone.

LOL THE yankees are 8th, and all the teams ahead of them are far older!
