I bought a new (artificial) tree this year and it comes with lights that can be switched from rainbow to plain white... And y'know what? I actually really like the plain white now! They are classy! I feel like I should be wearing a monocle and a top hat along with this thing!  PERFECT!!!!!@!!!&!

It's a white folks thing. Plain, boring and uninspired. Kind of like having salt as y'alls only spice. Best to fall in line and do what everyone else does. Y'all don't want color in your neighborhood so you sure don't want none in your house even if it's on a tree. Where's the Kwanzaa thread at by the way? We have plenty of color on our front lawns.

But ultimately, a waste of money on Xmas decorations and electricity.

One year we had a tree with white lights and golden apple ornaments. It was beautiful. I also like colored lights with an assortment of ornaments.

While they can look nice I do find them boring. I like them hung around a house with blue though.

I feel like I should be wearing a monocle and a top hat along with this thing! I still use the rainbow ones most of the time, but those plain white lights have earned my respect! I had to bump this thread so that I could stand in front of my new plain white lights and sing Salzmank 's classic Christmas song! Y’know, the song’s far from perfect, but I’m rather proud of it because it’s the first thing I wrote words and music to!  Also, the irony: I have multicolored lights on my tree this year. |

I grew up with colored lights and always preferred them however for the last few years I have a prelit artificial tree with white lights. I really like it.
