"Colors" (Collector's Edition)
"From Hell" (Directors' Limited Edition) (DVD) Just out of curiosity. Are Colors the 1988 film by Dennis Hopper? If so, that is one great crime/cop film. And From Hell, the 2001 version with Depp?

Yeah, "Colors" is the '88 cops vs. gangs film. And "From Hell" is indeed the '01 Jack the Ripper tale with Depp and Heather Graham.

Great purchases. From Hell was very a enjoyable horror/crime adventure, and if I am not mistaken there were some rumours back in the day about a possible sequel, which I guess was cut short with Depp getting a big comeback with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise not long afterwards.

Did a bit of shopping as of today, and bought around 20-30 DVDs, all of them "used", in fact half of them was not even unwrapped from the original plastic, and if I had bought all of them for a normal price at the only living and breathing DVD/Music store left (in my country that is), I would have to spend even more money, just to have enough for two! new films, instead I got almost 30 films for much less.
Here are some of the titles:
Låt den rätte komma in aka Let the right one in (2008) - I enjoyed both the original and the remake, and while I have them both, the swedish DVD case was rather horrible looking, with the DVD artwork looking like an drunk 90 year old has just crapped on it, and instead I felt such a good film deserved a better DVD artwork, and bought it for a second time.
There's something about Mary (1998) - Another film I have alread two DVD copies of from before, but since it was almost given out for free, I just could not ignore the possiblity to have three copies of this comedy classic in my collection.
3 - Disc Antholohy - Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) - Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994) - Van Helsing (2004) - Only bought this because of Frankstein (1994), which I have yet to see, and I still have not picked up, until now. Dracula, I already own, while that piece of smelly turd which is Van Helsing, I throw away once, and will do it for a second time.
The Fog (2005) - I do not expect anything from this, but for such a cheap prize, I felt that ok, I will give it a chance.
Disaster double disc - The Core (2008) & Deep Impact (1998) - Deep Impact was one of those disaster flicks from the late 90s, I never watched, but two for one, I still doubt I will keep any of them after seeing them.
Ghosts of Mars (2001) - I thought I had seen it, but I guess not. John Carpenter bring along Ice Cube (horrible "actor"), sci-fi Species babe Natasha Henstridge, blaxploitation goddess Pam Grier, Joanna Cassidy and Jason Statham.
The Big Lebowski (1998) - I already own several copies, but I got this for my dad who is also a big fan.
The Return (2006) - Horror or thriller with Sarah Michelle Gellar, I only bought because I noticed her name, and I do not expect much, beside having her in the lead.

Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama Castle Freak Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers Just Before DawnChildren of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice Dr. Alien That is a great mix of a bit of underrated or not so often brought up, cult horror movies and some really entertaining/silly (in a good way) b-movie gems. Here are some of my recent purchases, not all horror related tough: All DVD: Dragonslayer (1981) - This one I already own, a region 1 version, but I thought the UK DVD had a superior art work to go with it, instead of the more "cheap" region 1 artwork. The Secret of NIMH (1982) The Last Unicorn (1982) Moontrap (1989) - I have wanted to see this since or at least I think it was referenced/mentioned in My Name Is Bruce, and well, Bruce Campbell, the 80s and sci-fi/horror. I just had to buy this film. The Princess Bride (1987) - Another of the many 80s fantasy/adventure titles I have wanted to see for many years now, and I picked up a region 2 cut, that came with a neat bonus disc along the way. Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko (2012) - Only bought because of the big titted, nude animated babe on the DVD artwork cover. Turbo Kid (2015) - This one was another impulse buy, and looked like parody/tribute to the many post-apocalyptic 80s films, plus Michael Ironside stars as the bad guy, once again.

Any bonus features of note on the UK "Dragonslayer" DVD? The Region 1 disc has none, not even the trailer.
I haven't seen "The Secret of NIMH" in ages.
"Moontrap" is a decent sci-fi / horror flick.
"The Princess Bride". Again, it's been some time since I last watched it.

Either nobody involved in the film wants to talk about it, or these companies putting it on DVD can't be bothered to create bonus content in the first place.

Yes it does, sadly. I think that Dragonslayer is one of those neat little fantasy/adventure gems of the early 80s that has become maybe a bit "lost" or not that much talked about, but I think with all the great special effects, the grim/dark atmosphere it had going and that Disney was involved, all should be worthy some rather solid bonus material included.

I ended up buying some other DVDs today:
The Founder (2016) - Michael Keaton seems to continue doing interesting movies/roles, and I am looking forward to seeing this one. Raging Angels (1995) - I have no idea what kind of film this is, other than a laughable DVD cover/artwork and the promise of a mix between rock music, horror and adventure. C.I.A.: Codename Alexa (1993) - Another PM Entertainment classic? Well, it does star Lorenzo Lamas, O.J. Simpson but the reason why I bought it was because of the lovely Kathleen Kinmont, who I do hope I get to see a lot of. Recoil (1998) - And another PM title, this time with Gary Daniels in the lead. I have a thing for PM and their many, many 90s b-movies. A lot of them was terrible, but still they often included that cozy late night atmosphere, that many of todays "b"-movies just do not have anymore. The Out Of Towners (1999) - I remember being not too impressed by this film that last time I saw it, but since its been a while, I decided to pick it up, as it was almost free. Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie (2005) - Just another impulse buy, will probably watch once, then bye, bye. Halloween: H20 (1998) - I have not seen this since 1999-2000, and I remember thinking it seemed to "milk" off the success of the late 90s slasher/horror comeback, and it felt more like in the same tone as the later Scream films than of the early Halloween titles.
