PAC 12 and MAC Titles on now!!!!
I’ve always loved the MAC Title on Friday Nights from Ford Field, it’s always a fun game to watch, I like how the MAC gets publicity by playing weeknight games in November and then capping it off with the Title on the Friday of Championship week. I wish the PAC 12 was late on Saturday Night, that would be the best time for the PAC 12 Title IMO, I love late night PAC 12 football.
Buffalo up 22-10 on Northern Illinois, and Utah-Washington tied at 0.

Buffalo shits the bed in the second half of the MAC Title Game and their awful kicking costs them, and they lose 30-29, NIU wins the MAC Title again, they are a solid program.
Total defensive battle in the PAC 12 Title, not surprising gives that Utah is without their QB and RB and the Huskies have a strong defense, I’m just surprised Washington isn’t up by more.

Washington wins the PAC 12 Championship over Utah 10-3 and are Rose Bowl bound!! Huskies have a terrific defense that has carried them and their offense is solid, Browning and Gaskin have started for 4 years now. Utah put up a solid fight without their QB and RB but they were outmatched.

Maybe against Michigan, if OSU goes to the playoffs. Or would it be Northwestern, as the B1G "runner-up"? Not quite sure how the bowl match-ups work in that case. ETA: any chance of a PSU/U-Dub rematch? |

Texas up 7-3 on Oklahoma early, this will be fun, Texas matches up well with Oklahoma as they have a stronger defense than the Sooners to go along with a good offense, I could see the Longhorns beating them again.

Kirk Herbstreit is a wise man and Hell has officially frozen. Instead of pushing for ohio st to be in playoffs the wise Mr Herbstreit says Georgia should be in even IF they lose a close game to bama. If Ohio St wins the BIG 10 and doesn’t make the playoffs they will go to the Rose Bowl. If Northwestern wins the Big 10 they will go to the Rose Bowl. I think the Huskies could beat the Suckeyes, they have a very strong defense. |

I think if Oklahoma can avenge their Red River pants-shitting from last month, then it's hard for me to see an argument that they don't deserve a crack at Bama, especially if Georgia gets one and loses. I'm sure you disagree, and that's cool. But for me, that's where it stops. That is to say: I have a real hard time buying an 11-1 Ohio State (regardless of how many points they hang on poor Northwestern tonight) as being more deserving than a 10-2 Georgia who plays the Tide tough bell-to-bell in another classic that goes down to the wire, a la 2012 and 2017. (And 2016? I dunno. The games have been great this entire decade.) I don't see really any equity in beating the Wildcats, and beyond that the Buckeyes don't have the resume to overcome their ridiculous ~30-point loss to Purdue. So that's where I'm at. Now let's see how it all shakes out so I can finally find out which one of these elite squads ('Bama, Clemson, UGA, or OU) will beat my Irish by 49 points and ruin my New Year's Eve!!!!1 |

Texas has 2 great receivers in Johnson and Humphrey, they are destroying the Sooners weak secondary. Ehlingher (prolly misspelled it) is really impressing me here. Dude came to play. Will today be the story of the unsung QBs? Fromm has been pretty underrated because he hasn't put up the video game numbers of Murray and Tua, but he's got the Dawgs in potential position for the CFP. Likewise Ehlingher with the Big 12 title. I realize that's apples and oranges, but for a program that hasn't won a title since 2009, this is a big step. |
