Of the two, Lethal Weapon II is the better movies, and the best of the Lethal Weapon series.

Lethal Weapon 2 is an action-packed marvel. Funny, sad, exciting and featuring the nastiest villains in the franchise's history, I'd rank it well ahead of John McClane's second outing.

I'm more of a Die Hard With a Vengeance lover when it comes to the Die Hard sequels myself, but I respect your opinion. |

Ranking - Die hard 1 Lethal Weapon 2 Lethal Weapon 1 Die hard 3 Die hard 2 Lethal Weapon 3 Lethal Weapon 4 other Die Hards - rubbish Solid ranking tho I might put Lethal Weapon 4 ahead of 3. I really enjoyed Jet Li in that film. |

Best or greatest, that is all subjective, but these are 2 awesome sequels that I rate higher than their predecessors.
While I like Die Hard better than Lethal Weapon, I would have to say I like Lethal Weapon 2 just a tad more than Die Hard 2, but it is a very close call.
Nothing really tops Lethal Weapon 2 as a beautifully blended action\comic epic, whereas Die Hard 2 has some comic scenes, but the tone is mostly that of an action film, with Willis's charisma to go along for the ride.

Not sure if it is just a confused memory recall, but I saw Lethal Weapon in the cinema a couple of times and thought that Riggs ate a raw onion. This wasn't in any other version I saw released on home video or dvd and not considering the director's cut. This was something that was alluded to in 3 I think. I can't locate any information regarding this on alternate versions.
