Are you excited? As a huuuge fan of the novel, I must say it looks promising (despite many obvious changes):

Already, I saw a few diversions in this adaptation. I just hope they don't make Pennywise always look terrifying, or else it defeats the purpose of being Pennywise. I'll take a gander at it.

This trailer blew me away. I didn't think it would be great, but damn! I now have huge expectations for this movie. That trailer was near perfect.

it's a hell of a trailer, but won't even approach the mastery of the mini- series. It'll be cut and dumbed down. We know the drill...

Oh, good, it looks like they're mostly focusing on the childhood portion of the story, which was by far the most compelling. Here's hoping they save the adulthood stuff for a second film and that the whole thing will be without that flashback framing device from the TV movie.

Yep, I never expected much from this film, but now I'm excited. I read the book at least 10 times (it was my first King book, and I had the perfect age: I was 11 years old, just like our heroes from the loser's club ). I don't even mind that they apparently changed so much in this adaptation (Bill's hair, his stutter, Beverly's look, the time setting, Pennywise, Mike's encounter at the Kitchner ruins, and I'm sure there's a ton more). And the cinematography looks very good too. The DP is Chung-Hoon Chung who has shot some of the most gorgeous looking Korean movies for the past decade. Also, Fukunaga still has a screenplay credit, so some of his writing seems to have survived. Thumbs up!

They will make the part about the adults as a sequel if this one is a success.

Here's hoping they hire better actors for the adult versions of the Loser's Club this time. Aside from John Ritter, I couldn't stand the adults in the TV min-series in the version. I don't know how they managed it, but they found a group of excellent child actors in the old version, but the adults were terrible! (Except for John Ritter.)

It was really sad in Harry Anderson's case, because I loved him on Night Court.

I have to admit it looked better than i expected and I'm intrigued. However,we didn't see much of Pennywise and that could make or break the movie.from that still image he looked awful, but let's hope for the best

I hated Bill and Beverly in particular. Who would you cast as the adults?

True, I did like him in Night Court, but felt this role was too overdone by him.I think the director can also be blamed for that. A good director knows how to rein in an actor who likes to go over the top or compromise with them. Others won't now to deal with them.

Normally I groan when classic horror films are remade, but this one actually looks amazing.

Maybe this time the movie will actually be scary and not just silly like the other one was. Can't believe anyone found that scary. That movie was like a stupid melodrama with a bad payoff.
Don't give up the fight for truly independent cinema!

Was not expecting much from this but the trailer looks good, I'm with you on not having him being terrifying all the time also. I think more of the cunning then evil pennywise is the way to go hopefully we will get that.
