I like Little Drummer Boy That's a great one. One that you don't see too often anymore. Mine has to be The Year Without a Santa Claus, mainly because of this!

Rudolph
I stopped watching more than 15yrs ago, it's far too nostalgic... watching it feels akin to taking out building blocks & making castles like I was 5yrs old.

Original Rudolph, followed by whichever one has the original Miser Brothers.
I actually like 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, with the cartoon mice, better than either, but I don't think that is Rankin Bass.

They did some great cartoons with a distinct style in the late 60's through the 70's, Frosty the Snowman and "The Hobbit" were some of their other cartoons.

Out of the ones I've seen it would be between Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, The Year Without a Santa Claus and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Don't make me choose. Although they are due for a rewatch. Perhaps when I do I will have a more clear winner.
Wasn't a big fan of The Little Drummer Boy one.

Their version of The Hobbit was awesome with some great music. They also did Return of the King which was pretty good too.

Why is nostalgia a reason not to watch it? It's good to remember the old days when things were much more innocent and peaceful. Also why are building blocks limited to 5 year olds? You've never heard of Lego? Fun for all ages.

I hated the stop-motion animation as a kid. I just pretended to like them because my thinking was the more I'm in line and excited about Christmas, the better my presents would be. Even though those specials were less than 20 years old at the time, I really thought they were ancient. Definitely thought they were from the early black and white era; but for some technical reason it could be in color because it wasn't real people. I thought these were the shows my grandparents grew up with. In the early 80's as a 6 year old kid, I already wanted my MTV, Blues Brothers, Cannonball Run, etc. Not some hokey Burl Ives and herky-jerky figurines. I knew what special effects looked like, I saw Star Wars. This crap looked like you could make it at home.
