I wanted to like the Marvel trailer. I really did. I just found it bland and generic looking. It kind of is.
I was sold on the movie ages ago but the trailer is your typical run of the mill Marvel trailer. I tease Aquaman and the low bar but I could see Aquaman based on its trailer. They'll all get my money in the long run.
I usually love Marvel trailers and hate DC trailers. I hated the Justice League trailer so much I only ever saw it once. This is an unexpected inversion of that trend,

I honestly thought the second Aquaman trailer was way better than the second Captain Marvel trailer.

I have to disagree. The 2nd Aquaman trailer was better than the 2nd Cap. Marvel trailer IMO. Aquaman trailer definitely has a lot of life in it. The Captain Marvel trailer looked the same as the last one. It wasn't until half-way through that I realized it was a different trailer. I felt the Aquaman trailer breathed more. Mixed in slow shots together with action shots which gave it a better flow. The Cap Marvel trailer felt like one cool scene after another which, while it does look cool, feels a bit one-note.

Sort of. But it's not the lack of humor that I don't like. I'm all for a more serious Marvel movie. It just looks uninspired and generic.

It's not really the humor (or lack of) that makes the MCU trailers good though it can be part of it. It's that the characters' personalities are allowed to pop-out in the trailer. You get an idea of their personality by just watching the trailers. This was lacking in the Captain Marvel trailer.

I think they both look good but I'm overall more excited for Aquaman.
