The Empire Strikes Back. Although I enjoy the following Star Wars movies to varying degrees, it reaches a height that probably won't be matched again. Was driving my kid to school today and he wanted to play the soundtrack, in particular the piece of music when Han is frozen.

Empire, but in many ways I prefer Return of the Jedi. Love the Jabba's Palace scenes, the Sarlacc Pit, and the climax with Luke and the Emperor.

I love all the films in the original trilogy, but to me:
A New Hope > The Empire Strikes Back > Return of the Jedi
