I have been obsessed with:
"Braveheart" "Gladiator" "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" "Open Range" "Unforgiven" "Lost in Translation" "The Godfather"
and currently "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs"
What I mean by obsessed is you discover a film, watch it, then can't stop watching it over and over for a period of time.

In the short term I've watched La Dolce Vita twice and L'Avventura three times. I'm fairly new to foreign films and have been going through the ones done in the late '50s and early '60s that are considered the "classics." I'm enjoying them a lot.
Of course, I've always been obsessed with the Indiana Jones films and All the President's Men. I probably watch those at least once every few months.

The Cat O' Nine Tails (1971)
I became obsessed with this Dario Argento classic when I was 12. At age 16 I taped it off TV and for a while I was watching it once a week. Then it became once a month. Nowadays, I watch my blu-ray once a year. It was the first Argento movie I saw, it remains one of my Argento favorites.
So why did I become so obsessed with it? I suppose I was captivated by the visual style of it all, and the murder sequences.

In the early 2000s there were two films I was obsessed with: The Game of Death (2000) also known as The Suicide Club From Hell (2002) I don't remember how I discovered them but I saw each one numerous times back then. I haven't seen either one in years (10+ years).

Movies I actually like. Now if the rest of the internet would just follow suit, we'd all have a lot more fun.

I don't know about obsessed but those are the films I saw +10 times (not being porn):
2001 - ASO Revenge of the Sith Empire strikes Back The Shawshank Redemption Amadeus Robocop (the old one) Watchmen Citizen Kane Fellowship of the Ring Hitler - Rise of Evil Fight Club The Godfather
Frankly, the older I get the less I actually care to watch movies (hardly watch films twice or even to the end). I still like talking about them though.

Back to the Future. The first VHS I ever owned, from McDonald's of all places. For months it was the only 'new' movie I owned aside tv recordings.
