Laurel and Hardy by a country mile. Second? I'm very fond of the Two Ronnies. Hard to argue with the Two Ronnies... A quality double act, and as far as I'm aware, neither have come to the attention of Operation Yewtree, yet🤔 True, though Barker's son was a massive paedo - caused his Dad a lot of heartache.

I would say that Reilly and Ferrell are the top one these days. Glad to see them doing another movie together, even though it's impossible to top Step Brothers. The best from 30 years ago? How bout Belushi/Aykroyd or Pryor/Wilder? I wish Steve Martin and John Candy had done more together, they were so great in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. The best all-time? Abbott/Costello or Laurel/Hardy, though the greatest comedy team was easily The Marx Brothers. it's amazing.
amc had Planes, Trains and Automobiles on a week after Thanksgiving.
I don't know if there's any legal stuff involved here - i.e. a channel can't get the rights - but this movie deserves a 24/7 nonstop play on Thanksgiving like Groundhog Day with Bill Murray.
Martin and Candy play off each other tremendously.
You mentioned Abbott/Costello.
I'm a horror fan. Ever see Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein?
Tremendous - pretty much a Monster Mash with Dracula, the Wolf Man an the Invisible Man too.............
Dana Carvey was on Carson once and said he favorite film was A&C Meet Frankenstein. It's still funny today. If you're a little kid watching that film, you're still cracking up (if you can get little kids to watch black and white films now)

Oh my god is that true? I'm driven by curiosity to look into that further, but experience tells me I would not thank myself for doing so afterwards. Also, it's Morecambe and Wise.

He missed both parents' funerals as he was on the run from the police.

Not sure if they're known/remembered outside Canada: Wayne and Shuster. North Americans of a certain vintage should at least know of them as they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show more than any other act-- 67 times (Shuster himself said this is wrong and they appeared only 58 times).

Not sure if they're known/remembered outside Canada: Wayne and Shuster. North Americans of a certain vintage should at least know of them as they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show more than any other act-- 67 times (Shuster himself said this is wrong and they appeared only 58 times). They were definitely a staple on Sullivan. More on Holmes & Watson: New comedy Holmes & Watson is said to be so bad that it’s prompting walkouts from cinemagoers. The Sony film – which unites Step Brothers stars Will Ferrell and John C Reilly – was released on Christmas Day having not been screened to critics in advance. Following its release, reviews began to surface online, the negativity of which leading to the film receiving zero per cent on Rotten Tomatoes after 24 hours. It now sits at seven per cent. It seems the public are agreeing with the critics. Numerous messages posted to Twitter reveal people have been forced to leave the cinema, with some even asking for their money back. “Holmes and Watson was the worst fucking movie of all time,” one user wrote, adding: “First movie I’ve ever walked out on.” Another added: “Holmes and Watson possibly the worst film I’ve seen. Walked out the cinema.” One Twitter user branded the Etan Cohen film “the worst piece of trash movie I have ever seen in my entire life” with another stating, "Public Service Announcement! Please do NOT leave your home to go see “Holmes and Watson.” You will find it excruciatingly unfunny. You will walk out.. You will ask for your money back. Worst 15 minutes of a movie I’ve ever subjected myself to." www.yahoo.com/entertainment/holmes-watson-ferrell-john-c-074000094.html
