I haven't watched the edited videos but foetal tissue is used for research and it's legal for clinics to sell it. It's not ideal but at the moment there's no alternative and I doubt many people would actually want to stop the research it's used for, particularly research into degenerative diseases like Parkinson's. I seem to remember Nancy REagan getting flak from consrvatives about her pro stem cell research opinions. Anyway, this is a pretty even handed article about the research and thecontroversy from Nature www.nature.com/news/the-truth-about-fetal-tissue-research-1.18960

I saw it on Youtube.

Karma's a bitch, considering it was her husband that withheld funding on AIDS research back in the beginning of the outbreak, when the CDC could have gotten ahead of the virus had they been given the funding for equipment and scientists. Many lives were lost because of Ronald Reagan's bad decision.

All I'm saying is that I note all the ladies pictured in your lab photos look suspiciously youthful in the face, but worldly around the eyes. And you never seem to age, so.... Baby parts. They're in you.

I didn't realise Reagan had done that, our government was quite slow to act, I think there was a feeling that the people who were dying didn't matter.

I didn't realise Reagan had done that, our government was quite slow to act, I think there was a feeling that the people who were dying didn't matter. That was exactly the feeling at the time, and that disease took some of our best and brightest. Not to veer off-topic, but if you ever get the chance to see the HBO movie "And The Band Played On" or read the book by Randy Shilts, do so, it is a real eye-opener.
In the movie, no one took notice until Dr. Don Francis of the CDC mouthed off to one member of the blood supply business who said that the virus had affected just some transplant patients and a few dead hemophiliacs, why test the blood.
Francis said "How many dead hemophiliacs do you need? A hundred? A thousand? Give us a number so we won't annoy you until the amount of money you spend on lawsuits exceeds the amount of money you could have spent on saving people, rather than killing them."
Okay, I'm off my soapbox, now.
