I enjoy them all, but don't really care about Labor Day. I like Valentine's Day. It can be really fun if you let it. Labor Day. No gifts, no food, just what am I supposed to do here? Where I grew up a holiday implied a day off from school and probably from work too. Labor Day. No gifts, no food, just what am I supposed to do here? Not work ! Labor Day. At least we get a day off. It's basically an American scam to replace the global celebration of May Day, the international worker's holiday. It's not a celebration of labor but of capitalist usurpation of labor. |

Valentines day here so useless in alot of aspects. Valentine's Day would probably be my pick as well. Not because I dislike it per se, but I haven't had a boyfriend in over ten years and here in the Midwest, the bitter cold reaches its apex around the middle of February. So, not a lot in it for me. |

By any chance, you didn't grow up in Haddonfield, Illinois, did you? East Harlem, Manhattan I think they filmed part of "The Possession of Joel Delaney" in East Harlem. In broad daylight, it looked very seedy. Wouldn't want to be there after the sun set. |

East Harlem is pretty big, but on Halloween, the dangerous people were the ones you knew. Kind of a very scaled down version of The Purge. And ther were plenty of places in East Harlem where I wouldn't go in the daytime. |
