outside of the joker, the standard is low for 2019. I dont think kinberg was the right choice and it is still too soon to do this story.
having said that. this movie should be the second best of 2019 after the joker or the best of the worst.
also we know this is the last real xmen movie, unless new mutants comes out and xforce/deadpool 3
Glad people are seeing it as such and not taking mcu xmen seriously. that one is already dead before it ever lived.

Simon Kinberg has spoken with Kevin Feige. I made a topic about it a few days ago. So there is good chance he would know more about the future of franchise than you. All it says is that Feige reviewed the script and tone for Dark Phoenix. Nothing more than a professional courtesy considering these characters will be changing hands soon and he wants to keep things civil until then and ensure that no damage is being done that can't be undone. Once the deal is finalized, everything that came before will most likely be tossed and given a badly needed fresh reboot. can you link me 1. bryan singer asking feige to review DOFP? 2. Miller asking feige to review Deadpool 3. Mangold asking feige to review Logan...Lol DOFP, Deadpool, Logan more than schooed MCU movies in the end. Remember when the cyclops actor said this was not an mcu movie? hm, so it is now that Disney is buying fox. thank goodness xmen fans know the last real xmen movie was Logan, an unapologetic anti mcu movie.I bet Feige advised them to put more jokes and make it more comedy after jokenock. thanks but we will stick to DOFP and Logan

look at the past star wars?
the past marvel games and animation?
the future is clearly dead looking at mcu movies and feige's disney vision.do post us links of how DOFP, Deadpool, Logan needed fiege.

So please elaborate on whatever you mean here. Feige has already produced his versions of those films. DOFP and Age of Ultron are similar in story, killer robots taking over the world except AoU is watered down. Deadpool and Antman are both romantic comedies, Antman is watered down to the nth degree. Logan and Iron Man 3 are about a hero suffering from personal shortcomings and doubting their superhero status and Iron Man 3 has Disney flavour written all over it.
Basically, Kevin Feige didn't advise anything on DOFP, Deadpool or Logan. If he did they would have ended up like the MCU counterparts, diluted down and Disneyfied.

As long as you realize your own leaps of imagination in making these movies analogs could lead to someone interpret you to say that the later films used the previous films as inspiration to build from, then have at it.

The similarities between the films you listed are reaches. I never said Feige advised or was asked to advise on any of those past films. I just read the article linked by High on Ecstasy that said Feige reviewed the script for Dark Phoenix. I'm sure he's done so for other Marvel related films. Regardless, Feige has no control over what Fox does with their movies until the deal has been finalized. Eventually you guys are going to have to come to terms with the fact that this deal is happening and your beloved Fox-Men films are coming to an end. You can either continue to be bitter about it or move on.

Until then Im looking forward to dark phoenix, new mutants, xforce and the other mainline Xfilms that will be coming out. Nothing has changed

Until then, you should probably stop watching MCU films. If you're not used to the way they make movies by now, you never will be. Or you can keep complaining about something that clearly wasn't made for you and doesn't suit your tastes. Your choice of course.

I watch MCU movies because they are in one of my favourite genres of film, same reason i watch all CBMs, to see what state the genre is in and where its heading. If that involves watching MCU films which are mostly medoicre and exposing theyr weaknesses then i will continue to do it.

Pretty sure the MCU would not have become the powerhouse it is today if most of its movies were merely mediocre. You're obviously free to like or dislike then according to taste but at least give credit where credit is due. Mediocrity would never have allowed them to have risen so far.

So you enjoy torturing yourself for some needless cause by watching movies you know you're going to hate and then complaining about it? Sounds healthy. You know how the MCU works and you know what to expect. They aren't going to change. Their films are doing well and will continue to do so. The genre isn't in any danger by anyone's standards other than yours and your fellow haters that are in a small minority. Stomping your feet isn't going to change anything. Do yourself a favor. Just hitch your wagon to anything other than the MCU and you should be fine. The DCEU is still out there. You've got the Sony Spider-verse. There's a new Hellboy moving coming. The new Watchmen series on HBO (dark and grounded, just how you like it). Plenty of other options for you.

I love fantasy movies but I don't watch the Harry Potter films because I don't like them. I also don't go on the Harry Potter board and trash the movies or the people that do like them.

Tell the OG star wars fans to stop watching the new Disney watered down trash see how they react. They will continue to watch the new films in hope to get something better because Disney are taking what they grew up with a mudstomping all over it. Pointless trying to bring up a ad poplum argument and say just because im in the minority im wrong. Now i will stop before i say anythinh that gets me a strike

There are plenty of people who watch movies they feel are mediocre so they can point out the weaknesses to others. It's a tough job, but somebody has got to do it! So I for one salute you, Mr. "Goes to a film he knows he's going to hate so he can hate on it for the sake of the genre" guy!

I think you can stop waiting for that to happen. If you don't like something, don't watch it. I haven't seen Venom because I know I'm not going to like it. I don't plan on seeing Aquaman either, because Jason Mamoa really bugs me. And I refuse to see Dark Phoenix, because to me, this just isn't the X-Men.
