1 out of 3 isn't bad in baseball, but pretty horrible here. Without using someone else's Opinion or your Opinion. Provide us with the objective evidence for the 2 bolded statements. I'll give you a hint. With the first fact you could produce the list of nominations from 2018 back to the beginning of the oscars to prove it. That is objective evidence. evidence.
the hard evidence was logan was indeed nominated for best adapted screenplay, the second most prestigious category for film after best picture.
Logan is amazing and deserved that nomination. But there is no way that Best Adapted Screenplay is more prestigious than Original Screenplay or Best Director. That is simply not a fact.

Last time I checked, lawyers at least knew the difference between fact and opinion... lawyers known by facts when he/she is going to win a case because to the lawyer's opinion the evidence that makes his opinions much stronger is quite clear to win the case
it will be a world wide universal opinion that black panther will be the most undeserving movie to ever get a major oscar recognition if it gets any.

actually it is for overall film. look at the oscar history 98% of screenplay winners are the best picture winners. the screenplay is the best indication of the best picture.
last year was kind of a fluke due to diversity.
also when I say screenplay, it is for both. adapted or oringal.
director is important but not for overall film, this is why many best directors winners dont win best picture.
screenplay and picture go hand in hand. so it is one of the top 2 and top 3 along with director. the four main categories are for producing, writing, directing and acting.

I don't think it's hypocritical if someone didn't support EITHER. Like I said earlier, I don't think a CBM has been worthy of Best Picture since The Dark Knight. If someone asked me "Which do you think deserves a Best Picture nomination more.. Wonder Woman or Black Panther?", I'd say WW because, up until the Ares fight, it was a pretty good war film. It's the only comic book movie I consider to actually be a war film. CA:TFA never struck me as taking the material seriously so even though it's set in WWII, I just don't see that. Especially if you compare No Man's Land to Cap saving all those soldiers. She was in the middle of a real war zone, Cap was in some Red Skull mad scientist lab and everyone was kept in comical cages.
I THINK that it's possible you aren't happy about the idea of BP being nominated for BP because it'd be the first comic book film to do so while you and many others believe The Dark Knight, Wonder Woman, and Logan were much more worthy. And I get that. It's been ten years and I'm still salty about TDK snub. But there is nothing to really be done. Either it gets nominated or it doesn't. And it's not going to matter if people here supported BP or WW or both or neither. Everyone who thinks it doesn't deserve it is going to continue on thinking that. And anybody who thinks it does will continue on thinking that as well. And nothing is going to stop either side.
