He'll play his Guardians of the Galaxy role of Korath in Captain Marvel and The Wizard in Shazam!
Kind of funny since Shazam was originally known as Captain Marvel until recently.

That’s pretty old news there, but I guess I’ll point out that he also plays the Fisherman King in Aquaman.And he is in Constantine.  |

He was still known as Captain Marvel up until the New 52 (5 years ago). It’s just that his comics no longer went by that name (the title that is).  |

DC couldn't advertise him as Captain Marvel, or put the name on the cover. He was pretty much known as "Shazam" after DC bought him in. Growing up as a kid I always thought he was called Shazam, because that is what he was sold as. He may have been called "captain Marvel" in the comics still (though I wouldn't know first hand..for some reason I never could find Shazam comics in the UK as a kid!) but he was known as Shazam. |
