She wanted to change the 'laser lights' and they said no. What does that have to do with her being a woman?
I wonder if she'll be watching Aquaman, because that looks like a Marvel movie in every aspect. I'll be there opening night.
Probably the best part of this article: "It's really hard to watch a Marvel film. Of course, I'd still love to make one."

Seems like an awful lot of people have no problem watching Marvel films at all. Were the people that paid $2 billion for IW tickets all sticking their fingers in their ears during the movie?
I know a lot of people put a lot of emphasis on musical scores and I appreciate the rare times that a movie has a really great score too. But 9/10 times I don't even notice the score. It's just there to serve it's purpose of setting a mood.

Nothing in there seems to show Marvel not wanting women to direct action. Not sure where that came from. They're telling her what she can or cannot change, pretty sure they do this with every director they work with regardless of gender. Just ask Whedon.

Exactly, the studio calls the shots for better or worse. That’s how Hollywood works. It’s not precisely a revelation.

Last time I checked, a woman is directing Captain Marvel action scenes, also another woman is directing Black Widow.

xmen, spiderman (not mcu) and dc movies have freedom about 90%, this is why their movies tend to vary.

It's a little bold to say all that and then declare she's still interested.
Not that I mind or have the inside track on whether she's right or wrong, but it just seems like a strange tactic. We're at the point in our culture where you're damn near good as toast the moment you're caught badmouthing the boss on social media, or any media. Yes, you still as a rule "don't cross the boss", but in Marvel's position, I wouldn't hire her in principle because she seems like a cancer. It's only a matter of time before the influence spreads, then you got a real liability problem.
It's almost a given that if they take her on now, she'll have her own "it's painful to the ears to watch a Marvel film" quoted back to her for the rest of her life. Bill Maher called out comic book fans/movies and right away they said you were in Iron Man 3, right? Remember that, Iron Man 3, the comic book movie you were in? The one with Iron Man as well as you in it?
Playing with fire, she is.
I don't know why Patty Jenkins walked away/was fired by Marvel. I never knew for sure, but she did both Wonder Woman the movie and Wonder Woman the milestone for being a female-central superhero movie directed by a woman. Marvel dropped a considerable ball by letting DC beat them to the punch. Best guess is Marvel fucked up, but not everybody is so lucky to land on their feet in Hollywood-land.

We definitely need this woman on the team and, she better hit a home run. It's one thing to complain about something and another to make it better.

Yeah, just look at the shit Zack Snyder produced thanks to creative freedom. Also, isn't DC the studio that fucked with David Ayer's Suicide Squad film? Didn't they fire 2 directors from The Flash? Remember when Gavin O'Connor was going to direct Suicide Squad 2? Didn't they not like Oscar winning writer Ben Affleck's Batman script? It was probably too good, and they don't like good. They like shit.
