I'm not lazy, so I still haven't owned one. I go by bus, walk or bike to where i'm going.

I'm not lazy, so I still haven't owned one. I go by bus, walk or bike to where i'm going. I still use my bicycle several times a week. I have many, a couple new and a few vintage. It's fun, good for you, and FREE.

'78 Ford LTD. A big ol' barge my parents gave me. Better than nothing. but not by much. 6 months later I traded it for a Dodge/Mitsubishi minipickup.

1969 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop. Forest green with green interior. It was a fun car and I learned a lot about cars by working on it. I also learned that manual drum brakes are not much fun. At least it had power steering.

I wish I could drive. I'd love to drive a 1960s Mini or a 1970s Datsun (yes, even with the dreaded rust). I love the styling of old economy-minded cars.

Early 80's Ford Mustang with a four-cylinder engine. It was painted orange. I loved it.

A 1976 Fiat 127. It wasn't a brilliant car but it got me to from a to b.

1985 Chevrolet Cavalier (Used):

I disliked it because the interior was small. It wasn't a good fit due to my height, but was the first affordable car I could purchase while working part-time in high school. I remember my knees almost reached the steering wheel. I drove it for years up until the transmission finally took a dump. Though, it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Mine was a 1987 Camaro. I grew up loving that body style and wanted one pretty bad. I loved it even though it was constantly breaking down.

1971 Corvette – 350/270, 4 speed, T-tops. Purchased it when I came back from SE Asia. Of course, I loved it! (Internet image, not mine)

Interesting that just about everyone's first car on this thread is a "domestic".
Our high school was mostly domestics but there were quite a few hand me down Honda Accords and Toyota Camrys. We were still a sort of rural community in those days (early 1990's) so lots of trucks. The suburbs hadn't completely encroached the area as it has now.

2002??? Chevrolet Malibu. My father bought it when I moved from Golden's Bridge to Manhattan. I named it Flipper. It was grey and a little sparkly.
